The setting takes place in a small square room that was very dimly lit. A tape recorder goes off on a table, a 40 something year old Philip is sitting on the other side of it, his elbow on the table with his hand holding up his head, the other hand resting sideways on the table. His hair was cut very short, and looked messy. He didn't seem to be smiling.
TAPE RECORDER:
FEMALE VOICE
"File 6, Case 37: Written Recordings
- Confession Record #7"
Philip sighed and leaned in towards the recorder
PHILIP
"All of this... is my fault. It's because of me that Alice Norae became a monster. She and I were friends when we were significantly younger... On April 17th, we had an argument and I went home by myself, leaving her alone. That was the day that she went missing... I.. I did everything in my power to look for her before eventually giving up and accepting defeat 4 years later.. I was 19 by then. I think... I was 20 when I first decided to join the EAC Project. When I came back from the project, I was 32 and looked the way I did in the photos when I was younger,"
Philip lifts up a file with a photo of him, as well as his information. He has mid-back length hair in the photo. His hair seemed to be a greenish tint of black. He smiles when he sees the photo, but it quickly fades away
PHILIP
"But that's a whole other can of worms I'm not gonna open right now... anyway..
I never really forgot about Alice... but when I saw her for the first time in years, she had dyed and cut her hair to chin length and was wanted for a line of mass murders.
Ha.. to think if I wasn't being such a little jerk who couldn't swallow his pride or ego and would have just tried listening to my friend for once, she might have been an author, I probably would have joined my family's business, and if things went how we expected, we probably would have dated or even gotten married or something. All I had to do is consider her feelings... and now look where that's got us.
