NICO's POV
I woke up to cheering coming from the strawberry fields. I usually don't sleep that well, so I went outside to see what all the commotion was.
Apparently, a new satyr had just successfully delivered a new camper. Though she had a couple scars on her face, she looked completely unfazed and oblivious to the fact that she had just survived something very dangerous. She had pale skin, dark brown eyes and shoulder-length black hair. She wore a baggy red hoodie and navy blue jeans. She seemed nice enough.
But what happened next proves that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
As soon as the girl realized everyone was staring at her, waiting for the new camper to say something, she said in a naturally loud but fierce voice, "Hey, y'all! Just 'cause I may look skinny and weak doesn't mean that I can't beat you up! if you annoy me or anyone who is my friend, don't be surprised if I punch you in the nose!" Then, suddenly, her voice changed to a much similar version of what I sounded like when I first came to camp. "I'm Leah Harborfield. If anyone wants to be my friend, I'm all for it. And can I please get a tour?"
Even though she was obviously nobody to mess with, she still had good manners. Suddenly I was doing something I'd never thought I'd do. "I can show you around camp."
As soon as I said that my boyfriend, Will, (don't judge) raised his hand too.
And with that, me and the son of Apollo began the tour.
~Time skip to after the tour~
Thankfully, we finished the tour without bumping into any of the Ares kids. Or so I thought.
When we came to stop outside the bathrooms for questions, Clarisse jumped in front of us.
"Hey, punk, would you like a little welcome from me and my friends? Don't worry, it won't hurt a bit." She sneered.
As she was dragging Leah towards the toilets, the new girl shouted, "DON'T TOUCH ME!!!" And then from out of nowhere, the ground opened up and skeletons came pouring out.
I knew this reaction all too well.
I had a new sister.
