Leah's POV

"Password?" Asked the fat lady in the portrait.

"Fortuna Major," said Harry.

The common room was beautiful. If Annabeth saw it, she would be a drooling mess.

Correction: If Annabeth saw the entire castle, she would be a drooling mess.

I know enough about camp that I am aware Annabeth wants to be an architect, Blackjack likes to ask Percy for doughnuts, blah blah blah.

Anyway, since the two lovebirds went up to the dormitory to chat, I decided to check out the common room.

It had a homey feel to it; there were maroon and yellow plush armchairs, a couple fireplaces. All the usual stuff.

But the thing that mesmerized me the most were all the moving paintigs and the faded wallpaper. I knew that moving, talking paintings and tapestries wouldn't go well with faded wallpaper, but surprisingly, it does.

This is just another reason why the common room felt like a place you'd want to stay in with your friends and have a nice, long chat with blankets and hot cocoa.

While I was thinking about all this stuff, I didn't notice all the pairs of eyes staring at me; boys checking me out, and girls looking at me with envy and disgust.

I don't know why I attract this much attention, I'm not that pretty. But I guess my fellow housemates thought otherwise. Then that obnoxious kid Hairy--oops, Harry--decided to ask the dreaded question: "Hey, do you want to maybe hang out sometime?"

I didn't want to be rude, so I said, "I'll think about it."
