a small world

soon after, kairi and mattia finished the tour of the whole school. mattia was so interested in kairi's life. he thought kairi was a cool person to talk to.

"oh so i guess that was the last place i needed to show you." kairi stated.

mattia commented, "i really enjoyed talking with you and this school is pretty nice."

"thanks, i liked talking with you too. i think it's almost time for next class to start so we should be heading back now." kairi said while smiling.

mattia adds, "yeah we probably should."

kairi and mattia were passing the bathroom and all of a sudden alejandro comes out of the bathroom and runs toward kairi and mattia.

"mattia what are you doing here, i thought you weren't coming for another month?!" alejandro shouted with excitement.

alejandro embraces mattia with a hug.

"oh i talked with your parents they said it was okay to come earlier and to surprise you." mattia said as he pulls away from alejandro.

"wait y'all two know each other?" kairi asked.

"yeah." mattia and alejandro said at the same time.

"we met each other through instagram. and we became internet friends." alejandro explained.

"oh wow, what a small world." kairi said.

"yeah, wait YOU'RE the kairi that alejandro always talks about?" mattia questioned.

kairi says, "oh well yeah that's me i guess."

mattia replied, "ohh that's why the name sounded familiar."

"ohh okay. well since you're our new buddy, well i guess MY new buddy, since you and ale already knew each other, you should sit with us at lunch." kairi told mattia.

"sure that would be nice." mattia agreed.

*DIINNGGG*

"oh damn it's already time for next class. well i guess i'll see y'all at lunch." alejandro said.

"oh okay see you later alegator!" kairi yelled because alejandro had already walked away.

"in a while crokaidile!" alejandro yelled back.

"huh what does that mean?" mattia asked.

"oh it's just something americans say when we are saying bye to someone. but we just said it differently because that's our nicknames for each other. kai and ale." kairi explained to mattia.

mattia replies, "ohh okay that makes sense."

"oh shoot we are gonna be late if we don't start walking. good thing we both have the same class for second period." kairi commented.

"oh yeah let's go." mattia agreed.

kairi and mattia walked to second period which was biology with mr. inrique. kairi and mattia sat next to each other.

"okay, today class we will be mixing liquids together and trying to make the mixture bubble and harden. so follow the instructions on the board." mr. inrique stated.

"we should start. before someone else finishes before us." kairi explained.

"okay first step is to-" mattia said but got interrupted by kairi.

"we don't need to follow the instructions that's for nerds." kairi interrupted.

mattia replies, "oh okay then let's just do it then."

kairi starts and puts a little bit of purple liquid into the yellow liquid. it starts bubbling. mattia puts all of the blue liquid in and it starts bubbling like crazy.

"now all we have to do is make it harden." mattia declared.

kairi then adds more purple liquid into the mixture. it bubbles and shoots out of the beaker. it keeps pouring out and it won't stop.

"oh noo MAKE IT STOP!" kairi screamed.

everyone turned and looked at mattia and kairi's direction.

"maybe this will work." mattia says as he added a red liquid.

the potion exploded and made the beaker bust. glass and liquid was thrown all around the room.

"uh oh." mattia said with a concerned look.

"YOU TWO, CLEAN THIS UP NOW! AND Y'ALL HAVE LUNCH DETENTION HERE IN MY CLASS!" mr. inrique scolded.

"yes sir." kairi and mattia both said.

kairi and mattia looked at each other and both laughed.

"aw then that means we can't have lunch with alejandro." kairi whispers.

"oh i was looking forward to that." mattia whispered back.

"LESS TALKING AND MORE CLEANING!" the teacher yelled.

"okay, okay." kairi murmured.

mattia and kairi started cleaning and soon finished and were off to their classes. mattia had p.e. with alejandro and alvaro. kairi had math with robert.

                       *DIINNGGG*

it was time for mattia and kairi to head to their separate classes. alejandro, alvaro, and robert spot kairi and mattia. the three walk up to mattia and kairi.

"guys this is mattia he's a new foreign exchange student and he's gonna hang with us, is that alright?" kairi asked while looking at alvaro and robert.

"yeah." alvaro said.

"he seems chill." robert added.

"chill as in cold?" mattia questioned.

robert assures mattia, "no no, that's just how we say cool."

"oh okay, all of these new terms it's just not easy to understand." mattia admitted.

"it's okay you'll learn as you go." kairi said while smiling.

"uhm guys not to cut the conversation short but alejandro, mattia, and i need to head to p.e." alvaro mentioned while looking at his watch.

kairi says, "oh yeah right we tend to start conversations in the middle of the hallway. anyways we should get moving."

mattia, alejandro, and alvaro go to the gym for p.e. while kairi and robert go to math.
