Desperate times in Long Hollow

What is this?

     I had to tell the twins what I found. it was crazy this proves I did lock the door. I was right I gotta give this to them. I grabbed it and put it in my hoodie. I walk to the front and went up into the house.

"Sammy, savannah hurry we have to leave in 10 minutes"

"We are ready" yelled a deep voice which was probably Sammy. 

"hi, ava what's for breakfast?" respond savannah.

she was wearing a bright green shirt that was tucked in a black skirt with her golden hair down. it came down to her elbow. Sammy came right after her saying.

"Yeah, are we just gonna eat you for breakfast, or do I have to go hunt wold waffles?"

Sammy was wearing a red plaid shirt with jeans and a white shirt. 

"come over here savannah while Sammy goes and hunts for our food" I joked

"wha- what no I am not going to go to go hunt," Sammy said.

"no no it's fine to go hunt it fine" I joked to him.

"ok, ok come on we have a bus to catch," said savannah.

we all walked down the driveway and went inside the bus. I sat with Sammy and savannah sat with ben.30 minutes past and we got off the bus. and walked up to the school.

"so you're the one Mr. Jackson keeps talking about your not even cute, I mean that jacket looks homemade, who does that anymore," said a  voice from behind. we all turned around.

The girl in front of us was wearing a blue shirt with a black belt tied around her jeans. her hair was long silky and dark.

"Who are you?" I asked confused and offended.

"Jenna ramming," Sammy said. 

"she the most popular girl here and dating the most popular boy, Eli smith." responded savannah.

"ok enough with the chit-chat now why is Mr. Jackson always talking about you, you're not special, like me?" said Jenna.

" ug I don't know should I know and why do you care I am just another person," I said.

"Does she need everything explained, if I am not friends with Mr. Jackson I won't get good grades and if someone like you comes and studies for the test then that's not gonna get me a good grade so I need you to stop ok, ok" Jenna responded bitterly.

she walked away I could hear the clicking of her pink heals hitting the ground. I wonder about what she said why was the twins dad talking about me I have only been here 2 days?

The went by normal or this schools definition of normal except for one thing, I was going to my locker after, math and Jenna and ben were out there I hid so they could not see me. I saw ben push Jenna to the ground.

"you think your so tough going after pathetic kids why don't you pick n someone your own size huh?" said Ben. 

"Why do you care you look like the night not a good look on you and am I suppose to know who you are?" sneered Jenna

"you look scared you better be if I see you around Scarlett again, I won't be so nice you got it?"

"Fine, Why do you care any ways" said Jenna and he was right she did look worried. 

He did not respond,I was surprised ben never had done something like that for me. Well after school, I went over to there house because we where partnered on a project for math. on the bus ride there I sat by ben and said

"I am going over to Sammy and savannahs house there is mac and cheese in the fridge and you only have to warm it up so you can't mess that up, right?"  I said jokingly 

"ok" he said 

he was distracted 

I look to see what he was looking at I had to be wrong no this cant be. he was looking at savannah, they were near the front but I knew it was her because there were only 2 girls in that row means savannah. 

I said, "you like savannah!" 

The bus had stopped at our stop.

"no, I don't leave me alone," said an annoyed ben.

"well bye and I know you do"

he did not reply but I knew he did. I did not ask about how he stuck up for me because it was nice and I did not want to make him embarrassed. we got off the stop and headed for their house.

"where is your house, in the middle of nowhere?"I joked 

"don't look at us differently because of our house or how much money we have, Ava," said Sammy 

"Don't worry guys nothing could change the way I look at y'all" 

"Ok you better be good at keeping your word" replied savannah" 

We walk up a dirt road that leads into the forest, then moments later a 4 stories mansion came into view. It had 2 roads leading to the stairs of the mansion, with rows of trees in the middle of the roads to separate them. There was a fountain on either side of the staircase that leads to the doors of the mansion. We walk up the stairs and we stop for a moment.

"Wow..I mean I love y'all's house...just wow" I said in awe.

"Thanks, but the thing with our mom is well you will see," Sammy said worried.

"Just brace yourself," said savannah.

I was getting worried, what's up with their mom. is she crazy? I thought. I am sure I am going to love their mom. I hope. we walked up to the door, savannah opened the door, but Sammy was weird he kept looking at me like I was going to run away, I pushed that thought away. I walk in, and there was a hallway leading to the living room. there was a grand staircase in the living room leading to the 2,3, and 4 floor. we walked to the living room we went to the 2 floor to savannahs room and her room was connected to Sammy's room. We did not see her mom yet but I have a feeling tomorrow is not going to be the same, Sammy went to his room to change and I went to Savannahs bathroom to change.

"I will be right back, I am going to go change," I said to savannah.

"ok the bathroom is through that door"

she pointed to a door on the back wall of her bedroom. I grabbed my bag and went through the door. I changed into a red plaid shirt with a white undershirt. I changed into jeans and took my shoes off. by the time I got done changing Sammy was already in the room, he was wearing black sweats and a red t-shirt. savannah did not change I wondered why.

"so since we called changed what should we do." said savannah.
