Well done, Gbbs.  This is quite possibly the strangest collection of idiots I have ever seen in my life.  You've outdone yourself, Gibbs.

"Feast your eyes, Capt'ns," Gibbs grins at Jack and I.  He looks like a dog awaiting a prize.

"This is your able-bodied crew?" Will says, snootily.

I roll my eyes.  "You, sailor!" Jack snaps at one of the men.

His eyes widen but he says nothing.

"Cotton, sir," Gibbs buts in.

"Mr. Cotton?  Do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of almost certain death?" Jack asks.  There is a long pause of silence.  This is just bloody rude.  "Mr. Cotton!  Answer, man!"

"He's a mute, sir," Gibbs explains.  "Poor devil had his tounge cut out, so he trained the parrot to talk for him.  No one has yet figured out how."

Fair enough, then.  But we still had a point to prove to Will.

Mr. Cotton's parrot...same question," I tell the bird sitting on Cotton's shoulder.

"Wind in the sails!  Wind in the sails!" the horrible creature screeches in my face.  I turn to Gibbs.  "Translation?"

"We figure that means yes," he says.

"Course it does!"" Jack smiles, glancing over at Will.  "Satisfied?"

"Well you've proved they're mad," he says, doubtfully looking over the men.  I roll my eyes again.  For crying out loud, at least we have a bloody crew.

"What's the benefit for us?" a familliar voice asks.

Jack and I walk down the dock, looking over the men, trying to figure out who said that.  We reach one whose head is covered by an overly large hat.  Jack reaches out and lifts the hat up.  I can tell that he isn't too excited to see who lurks underneath it.

"Anna-Maria!" he greeets, trying to sound enthusiastic.  But we all know what's coming.  Anna-Maria slaps him square in the jaw.

"I suppose you didn't deserve that one either?" Will says smugly.  I am getting real sick of him real fast.  Maybe Anna-Maria should slap him too.  She has a good hit, unfortunatly for Jack who is rubbing his jaw.

"No, that one he deserved," I tell Will, chuckling.

"You stole my boat," she says, pointing at Jack.

"Actually-" She slapped him again.  How many times can Jack get slapped in one day.  Wait...don't answer that.  "Borrowed!  Borrowed without permission, but with every intention of bringing it back to you!"

"But you didn't!" she accuses.

Well obviously, he didn't bring it back.  Otherwise we wouldn't be in this argument in the first place.

"You'll get another one," I chime in.

She glares at me.  "Don't start with me, Eve Freeman.  You're just as bad as him."

"You'll get a better one," Will adds.  That was actually helpful.  Thanks Will.

Jack grins.  "A better one!"

"That one!" Will adds, pointing to the Interceptor.  The whole crew turns to look at the ship and then back at Jack and I.

Stupid Will.  I will get you back for this.

Jack plasters a huge fake smile on his face.  "Aye, that one.  What say you?"

"Aye!" everyone shouts, even though the question was not directed to them.  Fools.  Anna-Maria snatches her hat from Jack rather rudely and storms away.

"No, no, no!" Gibbs says, looking troubled.  "It's frightful bad luck to have a woman aboard."

"Excuse me?" I look down at Gibbs.  "Do I not qualify as a woman?"

Gibbs stutters, not having a response.  "Didn't think so.  Anna-Maria will be coming aboard," I smirk.

The sea rocked the ship violently.  We're in the middle of a nasty storm.  It would have taken any other ship and crew down, but with Jack and my skill, we made it.

Jack was struggling at the helm and I was helping with the sails.  "We should drop canvas, sir!" Gibbs says, staggering toward us.  The rain is so heavy that he can hardly see us.  That's quite a shame, since we are very pleasent to look at.

"You're too cautious, Gibbs," I shout over the roaring cracks of thunder and waves splashing up on deck.  "She can hold a bit longer!"

"What's in your head that's put you in such a fine mood, Capt'ns?" he asks, his voice bellowing over the loud storm.

Jack grins.  "We're catching up."
