Not even a full week in Austin, and here I was, back on a plane, to be flown somewhere to make music for another company. I couldn't help but ask myself, will recent history repeat itself, will I accidentally woo another lady just by meeting her? Nah, that's too crazy, even considering what happened.

I picked a spot in the waiting area that was close to the window and far away from the corridor, I figured I'd be less likely to be spotted then. Suddenly, my phone lit up, and I checked Twitter to see that a girl had took a selfie of herself, with me sitting not too far away, I was tagged in the photo. I smirked, let's have some fun with this. I looked out of the corner of my eye and spotted the fan, I discreetly took a selfie of myself with her in the background. Retweeting it with a comment, added the picture and the tagline "Thought I wouldn't notice?"

No sooner had I hit send, they announced the boarding for my section, I got up, glanced back to the fan, who was overjoyed at my reply. I smiled, I know I don't want fame, but little things like that make it all worth it.

I walked through the gate and stepped onboard. However, instead of being directed to go right, I was told to go left. Business class, the most exclusive one there is. Sony must really want me bad if they were willing to pay the extra cash for this trip.

Relaxing into my seat, I sat through the usual Captain's greetings and safety video. Before I knew it, we were up in the air. Once the seat belt sign went off, I waited ten minutes before flagging down a stewardess and ordering a glass of champagne. That would be my only alcoholic beverage for the flight, one in the air is worth two on the ground, and I had to be on my toes the minute I got off the plane.

On that note, I pulled out a scrappy, heavily used notebook and flipped it open. Ever since I got big on YouTube, I bought this to write down all the ideas and lyrics that came to me, it's rarely left my side for almost four years now.

I booted up my laptop and went over some the demos for my upcoming EP,  I had managed to find time during the week to work on them in the studio so that they sounded like proper songs. I liked what I heard, but it was apparent I had a long way to go, I flipped to the page where I had started work on Screecher, playing the beats and rapping in my head.

After a about an hour of this, I decided to sit back and watch Reservoir Dogs. I practically had the entire movie memorized, but I needed something to focus on other than music for the rest of the flight. I had to pause after the intro scene to order lunch, which was brought to me right before Mr. Blonde started torturing the cop.

Oddly enough, when Stuck in the Middle with You started playing, I got an idea. I grabbed the notebook and jotted it down before it got away from me. After that, I enjoyed the rest of the movie. I still had about half an hour before we landed, so I just stared out the window and watched the clouds roll by.

Soon enough, we started our descent, and the City of Angels came into view. The number one export of Hollywood movies, West Coast gangsta rap, and celebrity narcissism. Here's to hoping I don't get sucked into that machine and spat out. I don't know why, but I feel the sudden need for a stiff drink.

We came in for the landing, with all the bumps and such included. No sooner had we docked with the gate, I turned off airplane mode and got a message from someone who introduced themselves as Mr. Aric Lenning, a producer over at Sony who would be monitoring and handling production of the music. Definitely a change of pace from being handed my own department and left alone for the most part.

Getting off, I took my bag with me, and because I had no other luggage, I went straight to the exit. As soon as I came out, I spotted a throng of people standing around waiting, some holding signs, and there was a man who held one with my last name on it.
