Louis' P.O.V.
We moved all of Zailey's stuff into our house and spent the whole afternoon moving. Niall and Zayn are sharing rooms now, and I think Niall's happy he has someone to comfort him when he gets bad dreams.
After being bored of doing nothing, I decided to go check on Zailey and see how she was doing with her new room. When I walked in, Zailey seemed glad to see me, but she also gave me a sad smile.
"Hey Lou."
"Hey. How you doing?"
"Okay. Can I tell you something Louis?"
"Anything."
"Do you promise not to tell anyone?" She questioned.
"Yeah.. Of course. Besides who would I have to tell?"
"Umm, Niall, Liam, Harry, Zayn, facebook, twitter, the paps, myspace, your family, and the list goes on and on. Just promise you won't tell anyone?"
"Promise."
"Okay.. Well this is going to be hard to say.." She all of a sudden got teary-eyed and her voice broke at the end of her sentence.
"Is everything alright?"
She nodded. "I haven't told this story in a long time, but someties the oldest of stories need to be told." She started to cry some more and I was starting to think that maybe she didn't have to tell me.
"Zailey, you know you don't have to tell me."
"Yeah I know. But I have to tell someone Lou."
I motioned for her to go on, and she took a minute to start talking again.
"When I was ten, my father died in the war, and I thought that my life was completely ruined. Even though my father hated me, he had no idea how much he meant to me. He was always strict and I wasn't ever allowed out. But after his funeral, I turned from that awkward shy girl, to the girl that any guy would want. I was out going and flirted with any guy when I had the chance. And that's how I was until I turned fourteen. When I turned fourteen, I met a boy named Jake. He was a year older than me, and was in a different school. But I thought that I had found my true love. The next year was my freshman year, and I was finally in the same school as Jake."
I started to wonder why she was telling me about a guy that she dated, but I let her continue because obvisouly it must be important.
"You're probably thinking right now why I'm telling you this, but I just needed to tell someone. One night, Jake and I were going to the dance, when things got a little crazy. And instead of describing it all, within the next week, I'd found out that I was pregnant." She broke down crying, even harder and paused for a minute.
"I didn't know what to do. I was young, and I was pregnant at fifteen. I decided that I would tell my mother and sister, but it turns out that wasn't so good either. My mom always new I was trouble, and she made that clear to me. She yelled at me and told me that my dad would be disappointed. I knew that he would be, and I felt horrible. My sister got sent to stay with my aunt because my mom didn't want her around a bad example like me." Her lip quivered and all of her light makeup was smearing.
She continued saying, "Pretty much the day after telling my mom, she left furiously. As she was at the edge of town, she was hit by a truck, and immediately died. Her last words to me was her telling me how upset she was. For weeks, I waited for the invitation for her funeral, but it never came. I know that the funeral happened, but I wasn't invited. I wasn't even invited to my own moms funeral! I never saw my sister, Sammy, ever again, and I still haven't."
"God, that's a tough life.. I'm so sorry Zailey, if I would've known... god."
"Well things get tougher than that. At fifteen, I had a son, named Ty. I was all alone, and scared. I worked about five job, day and night. But my son Ty was never alone. He was always with me. I loved him, and I raised him."
"But where's your son now?"
"I'm getting to that. He's with Jake. When I was nineteen, Jake wanted to get back at me for something that I 'supposedly' did to him. He crashed into me when I was driving Ty to pre-school, but he made it look like I crashed into him. He took me to court and made up a story that I hated my son and was trying to kill my son, him, and myself. I loved my son, but the judge didn't buy it. I was a mess, and the judge could see that. She decided it wasn't good for me to have custody, and Jake got him."
She cried while I put my hand on her back and tried to comfort her. "Jake doesn't even love our son, and he knows that I know that. It pisses me off that he gets to have the son he didn't even raise, and I never get to see my own son. I have to pay thousands of dollars a month child support, that Jake doesn't need. That's why I have two jobs. I only get to see Ty twice a year now, since Jake is such a dick. I wasn't allowed to my sons fourth birthday, and when Ty saw me again this year, he didn't even know who I was. I felt like shit, and I still do. That was probably a lot, but I just wanted one of you guys to know."
"Zailey, I'm so sorry. If there was a way to fix all of that stuff for you, I would use it. I can't even imagine that happening to me." I don't know why I did it, but I leaned in, and me and Zailey locked lips. She didn't seem to push away, and then the door opened. And Liam came in.
"What the hell!? Louis?! Zailey!? What the fuck? Why? Zailey, I thought that you were better than that! I thought that you loved me! And here you are kissing Louis! All you are is the girl next door, and that's all you'll ever be! And Louis, What In The Hell!" He stormed out of the room with Zailey chasing after him.
"Liam! Wait! It wasn't even anything! I swear!" That's all I could hear from down the hallway.
Shit. What the fuck did I just do?
