It has been a long day at the studio and I just want to get home to my wife.

I and Harper have been married for 3 years and we can't be happier to have each other in our lives. We first met in the second year of high school. I was the new kid in school and the first time I saw her was through our mutual friend Casey. I have known Casey since we were little, so I don't understand why and how I never met Harper earlier.

She introduced us to each other on my first day I got there. At first, we became really good friends. But it was something that happened that changed everything.

Her boyfriend Philip cheated on her. And I know that this is going to sound terrible, but I was actually happy that they broke up. Because if it wasn't for their break up me and Harper wouldn't be together.

Her parents didn't approve of me since they thought I had a bad influence on her, and they still stick to that thought. They have never really liked me.

Every time I was with Harper they gave me gazes. They even said to me that they don't like me and that they want me to break up with Harper so she can meet someone better. But I didn't listen to them. I actually don't care if they like me or not. As long as Harper loves me I am happy.

I and Harper haven't seen her parents for about 8 years. Harper broke contact with them when she was 19 and moved away from them to move in with me. They weren't even invited to our wedding. We don't know if they are still alive or not, they don't even know that Harper and I are married.

I opened the door to our apartment and I could hear laughing coming from the living room that is connected to the kitchen.

I smiled for myself and took off my shoes before I walked into the living room to found Harper and Casey having a glass of red wine in their hand while looking in a photo album which I think is the yearbook from high school.

They were so focused to look at the pictures so neither of them noticed me. "Well, you seem to have a good time" I chuckled and both Harper and Casey shoot up their heads to look at me.

"You're finally home!" Harper said with a big smile on her lips and put down the glass of wine on the coffee table before she ran up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck. "I have missed you so much" I could tell by her voice that she was a little bit tipsy. "Are you tipsy?" I asked and placed my hands on each side of her neck and my thumbs resting in the skin of the earlobe. "How much have you been drinking?"

"Just a little" she took up her fingers and showed me the little space between her thumb and pointer finger. I looked up at Casey that closed the photo album and pushed herself up from the couch. "Don't look at me like that" she laughed "She offered a bottle of wine while we were looking at the pictures from high school. So it's not my fault" she said and threw her purse over her shoulder.

"I'm gonna leave you guys now. See you guys later" she waved and walked past us "Bye!" Harper waved to Casey before she closed the door.

She then looked up at me. "I love you" she whispered but it was loud enough for me to hear it. "I love you too," I said and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear before I placed my lips on hers.

"So how is my husband doing?" "I'm tired. It was a pretty intense day at the studio. But you on the other hand. I need to try to sob you up and then we are going to the theater and I'm going to take you out for dinner"

"Ohh, I like" she smiled widely before she leaned in for one more kiss but this time I didn't lean in as well. I squatted down a little and wrapped my arms around her waist and threw her over my shoulder.
