Shawn
I put on something nicer before I walked out to the living room. "Are you ready?" Casey asked happily. "No, not really" I shrugged and put on my shoes. "Oh, Common Shawn. It will be fun" she hooked her arms around mine "Yeah, but I can't stop thinking of Harper"-At the restaurant-
I was totally zoomed out. I didn't pay attention to what my friends were talking about. It was just a constant murmur around me.
Why did Harper leave me? What went wrong? Was I the problem? Was I the reason why she left?
I stared at my hamburger that now probably was cold since I have been staring at it for a good 15 minutes.
"Hey man, aren't you going to eat?" Connor asked and hit his hand slightly on my back. "No, I'm not hungry" I mumbled. "But you need to eat. You need to have something in your stomach. You will feel so much better after you have eaten a little bit"
"But I'm not hungry! I don't want to eat this burger" I raised my voice a little and pushed the silver plate with the burger on, away from me. "I know how you feel. But it doesn't make the thing better if you don't eat" Brian said and pushed the plate back to me. "And it doesn't make the thing better if I eat. It's not like she will come back to me if I eat this burger"
"That's true, but you need to eat something"
"Yeah, but I said that I'm not hungry!" I stood up so the chair was pulled against the floor, which made a creaky sound, causing a few people to look at our direction. "Thanks for the burger man" I said with a low voice before I walked out of the restaurant.
I left them and they still sat there. But that's what I want. I don't want them to be involved in this. This is between me and Harper. I called them over just to take away the weight from my heart, not to get them involved in this mess.

-I listened to some music and cleaned the apartment a little bit when I suddenly heard a knock on the door. I turned down the volume of the music, to go and open.
"Casey? What are you doing here?" "I think that I forgot my keys" she said and ducked under my arm that held the door open. She walked to the living room and took the shiny keys that laid on top of the coffee table. "Aha, here they are" she showed me the keys between her fingers and smiled big.
"Good that you found them" I smiled weakly at her and walked to the kitchen, and I could hear her footsteps behind me.
"Do you want anything to drink?" I asked with my back facing her and looked in the refrigerator. "I take water" she said and jumped up on the counter.
I took a water bottle to her and a beer to me. "Here" I gave her the water "Shawn" She raised one eyebrow and looked at the beer bottle in my hand. "There is nothing I can do Casey. She left me and she will never come back"
"Hey, look at me" I looked to the side, ignoring that she wants me to look at her. "Hey" she said more firm and grabbed my cheek, and turned my head so we were facing each other. My eyes were filled with tears, so my vision was blurry.
"I know" she shook her head and corrected herself "We both know, that she is strong. She will fight and she will remember someday. Trust me, if I know her right, she won't let you down"
Harper
I sat there with my parents at the table and they just talked to each other. They didn't even pay attention to me. To be honest, I want Shawn to be here. But I made my choice, I'm gonna live with my parents for a little while since Shawn put go much pressure on me.Maybe this is a good start. That my parents aren't paying too much attention to me. Maybe I need to forget everything in my past and start from zero?
