Lilly slowly arose from her slumber to find herself somewhere different. Instead of hearing the raging river she woke up to the sound of birds chirping. Little rays of sunlight were shining on her closed eyelids like they were asking her to open her eyes and let them in. So she slowly peeled open her eyes, squinting as the light still was very bright for the just awoken girl. As Lilly opened her eyes completely she saw a white ceiling. Her hands moved across the mattress that she was laying on, feeling the soft material that had allowed her to sleep so peacefully. She carefully moved her head to the left making sure she didn't hurt her neck in the process. When she had moved her head far enough she was able to see two white cabinets filled with medicines in all kinds of colors and shapes. Lilly realized that she was in the hospital room. Lilly racked her brain for a solution as to why she was here and the answer came very soon as the images of what had happened at the bridge came rushing back. A single tear had managed to slip past her eyes before she started moving to sit up. While doing so she heard a noise to her right. "Finally awake I see."

Lilly moved her head to the right as she was now sitting up completely. Right next to her bed was a boy sitting in a chair with a book still open on his lap. The boy had a calm expression on his face, his brown eyes looking kindly at the girl who had just awoken. On the top of his head were a bunch of brown curls which made his pale skin look even paler. He looked probably as pale as Lilly was. Even though he was sitting down you could tell that he was pretty tall. He was wearing the normal clothes that everyone wears. His body was well build with even a couple of muscles visible through the fabric of his clothes. "I hope I didn't make you wait to long, Birch." Lilly spoke now also smiling at her friend. "You were only out for a day, so not that long."

Birch closed his book before standing up. He placed the book down on the hospital bed and started to move the chair back to its original position. "Everybody was pretty worried about you. When they brought you in you looked like a zombie. You're starting to look more like a ghost now, so I'm thinking you're feeling better." Lilly rolled her eyes before also talking. "Ha ha, that is rich coming from your mouth, considering that we're both super pale. Now can you grab my clothes, I want to get changed." Birch helped Lilly up so that she was now standing and then walked to a small table that was off to the side and grabbed the clothes that were laying on top of it. He gave the clothes to Lilly before turning around so that she could change in peace.

Lilly was very glad that she could strip out of the blue hospital gown as it was very itchy and uncomfortable. When it was peeled off her body she threw it mindlessly on the bed not caring if it became wrinkled. She looked at the pile of clothes that Birch handed to her, noticing that there was also a pair of underwear with it. "You better not have snuck through my clothes Birch. Especially if you went through my underwear." Birch let out a soft chuckle before answering. "Don't worry Lilly. Willow picked those clothes out for you and brought them over. I wouldn't dare go through your stuff." Lilly smirked and muttered under her breath 'you better' while also making a mental note to thank Willow later. She quickly changed her underwear seeing as she didn't want anyone to walk in on her changing those parts of her clothing. Lilly never was ashamed of her body, thinking that it was perfect the way it was. For this reason she didn't mind if someone saw her in only her underwear. But at the end of the day she was still a girl and thus preferred not to be seen like this. So she quickly pulled on the rest of her clothing. The combination of the white button up shirt, the black pants and tie with black combat boots were very familiar. It was customary for every child to wear these exact clothes, having been picked out by the organizations leader herself. There was nothing that differentiated between the boys and girls uniform as it was redeemed not necessary. In the end boys and girls were treated equally in every aspect of their lives.

"Alright I'm done, now let's get the heck out of here." Lilly said before walking with Birch out of the infirmary, but not before Birch grabbed the book that had been placed on the bed. As soon as they were outside Lilly asked Birch. "Where are the rest actually?" "They said they were gonna wait in the garden. Nothing new there." Birch answered. It was true. Whenever the group of friends had free time they would spend it together inside of the garden. It was like their little paradise and the fact that most people hardly ever came there just made it all the better. It didn't take long before they were at the entrance to the garden as it was pretty close to where the infirmary was. From where they were Lilly could already see some of the beautiful flowers that decorated the place and the luscious green grass that laid as a blanket across the floor. It was also smelling a lot nicer and fresher compared to the hospital room she was just in. Lilly started to walk a little bit faster, wanting to get to their little paradise as soon as possible, as a smile started to grace her lips.
