Chapter 11: New Queen

Star's POV

Looking down at the portrait of mom, a wiped a tear from my face as I touched the picture.

"Why do you have to leave me?" I whispered to myself.

A knock was heard on my door as I quickly answered it.

I opened it to find my friends.

"Hey, Star. I'm sorry about your mom." Marco said, giving me a hug.

"So, you'll be coronated soon, right?" Tom asked.

I nodded then looked back at mom's picture, a tear fell down as I clutched it tightly.

"Marco, I want you and your men to find this den in the West Woods. But before you go I have to give you and everyone a special protection. Gather them at the open field in the east wing. Tell them their new queen have a quest for them."

"Of course." He then walked out as I placed mom's portrait down.

"Tom, can you call the new prime minister? Tell him I wanted to discuss about the upcoming coronation."

He nodded then went to the prime minister, I looked at Pony Head, Janna, and Jackie.

"Can you guys go to the Monster Kingdom then call Eclipsa for me?"

"Of course, girly. Are you sure you'll be fine?"

I nodded. "I want to get to the bottom of this, if those monsters wanted no peace again, then I'll have to find a way that has no threat. I'm tired of fighting for peace."

"We'll find justice for your mother." Ponyhead said, she smiled reassuringly as they all walked out.

I stared at mom's portrait then change my outfit. I tied up my hair then grabbed my wand as I went to the field we're his men will be waiting.

I opened the double doors to find the guards lined up, Marco looked at me then back at his men.

"Guards! Princess Star has arrived!" Marco shouted.

They all saluted as they stood straight.

"Guards of Earthni, all of you are aware of Queen Moon's death. I want you to investigate the West Woods that my mother went to. She came home with dark roots on her arms, I thought she did the dark spell but no. She said someone used it against her, fill me in on what you'd find in that woods as I'll visit there a day later. But first, I want all of you to be safe and come back here unharmed."

I raised my wand high as I felt my cheek marks glow, I closed my eyes then point my wand unto them.

A golden blast erupt from my wand as magic surrounded them. The spell was finish as they  looked at each other, confused of what I did.

"I created a powerful spell that I'm sure that you will never be harmed."

I then surprised them with an overpowered Narwhal Blast. After the smoke parted, nothing happened to them. They chatter in amusement as Marco cleared his throat as they were all silenced.

"I hope you'll find something there and be safe. All of you may be dismissed."

They all parted as Marco waited for them to disappear, he then kissed my forehead then hugged me tight.

"We'll get to the bottom of this." He said reassuringly.

"I hope so, good luck on your trip, Marco."

I placed a gentle kiss as he went off.
