Chapter 11

New Buddy? (Part 3)

[June 6, 2020]- 11:10 am

"Ah?!" I look behind me and saw the little girl fell down the floor.

"Oh, chips!" I curse as I ran back to help her. "Can you stand up?" I ask worriedly while getting her up but she yelps in pain.

"N-no, I c-can't..." She stutters and tearfully glances at me, I patted her hair a bit to make her feel relieve and safe. Then I look down and saw an awful bruise on her knees, it bled a little bit but it doesn't matter if she can't stand up. 

"Don't worry I will help you." I gently smiled, making her relax and smiled back. 

"Hop on!" I let her hold the bag and bend my knees, then she climbs on and tightly wraps her tiny arms around my neck. I stand up, holding both of her legs and quickly runs toward the warehouse, not after hearing the groaning noise of the walkers behind us. Luckily those dead snails, don't have the ability to run or parkour and if that happens... I gulp in fear if that happens, then the world would end quickly. Erasing the thoughts by shaking my head, I then speed my way into the building.

~1 hour ago~

'Where is the gas station?' I thought, regretting not buying a map. It could have been a lot helpful if I wasn't so focused on weapons and supplies. But anyway it's too late to cry for an item, I grumble a bit and warily walk alone the dead street.

As I walk, I hear a scream in one of the buildings which I don't even know where that voice came from, since most building surrounds me and the voice I think is just a bit near my distance.

After hearing that scream, walkers appeared out of nowhere! Making their way towards the voice. 'Some are even behind me!' I scream in my mind, scared that if I act like a statue here, it won't do any good and I would be dead if I stay here more!

Having no choice, I quickly run inside the nearest building. And probably to where that scream came from since most walkers are behind me. Then I went to the stairs and runs up to their highest floor, which is the rooftop.

When I push the door open, my heartbeat went wildly fast and saw that one walker is jumping towards me.  I quickly dodge it by instinct and went behind the walker,  Then kicks her hard in the back as she flew down the stairs.

'That was close!' I thought and hurriedly locking the door. And looks behind me one more time if there's more of them up here. After inspecting the place a bit, I sigh in relief and calm my beating heart.

'Bang'

'Bang'

The walker I kick out earlier keeps banging the door, I then keep my distance away and went to the side of the building. My eyes widen, terrified as I look down and saw a crowd of walkers.

'I'm trap!' My knees are shaking in fear, seeing the massive crowd of walkers around the building. I feel more light-headed as I look down once more. But I stop looking down and starts to think of a way to escape.

"H-hello?" But my thoughts were cut off as I heard a familiar voice and turns around, shock to see a little companion behind me.

The girl nervously fidget her fingers and looks down the floor.

"It's you again?" I ask.

Looking at the little knocking girl from before.
