ELEVEN

The four girls continued on chatting and ended up ordering another round of food. The main topics of their continuous conversation was their days as Blackpink. They laughed so hard at the memories of their younger selves doing stupid stuff while on tour back then, they wondered how would their life be if they renewed their contract and was still Blackpink now.

"I wonder how our Blinks are doing." said Jennie, "They probably found another kpop group to stan."

The other three chuckled.

"Have you seen the groups debuting nowadays? Yikes." said Jisoo as she took a sip of her drink.

"Agreed. They're not the same, you know?" said Chaeyoung.

"It's because their companies are making it way too easy for them. I hate to say it but going a bit tough on a trainee is very effective. Right, mentor Lisa?" said Jennie as she teasingly nudged Lisa's shoulder with her elbow.

Lisa smiled in return, "Definitely."

"To be honest," said Chaeyoung, "The reason why we did so well as Blackpink is because our mentors literally bullied us."

All four of them laughed at the statement.

"Seriously! It's like, not having the proper solution but having the right answer anyways." said Chaeyoung, "If you know what I mean."

"We know what you mean." said Lisa.

"Hey, Lisa. How did the apartment hunting go?" asked Jennie.

"You went apartment hunting?" asked Jisoo.

"Uhm, yeah. I didn't find one I really like, though." lied Lisa.

"Oh...." said Jennie, "You could crash at mine again for tonight if you want."

"Again?" asked Chaeyoung, eyes wide open. "Did you-"

"No!" said Jennie and Lisa at the same time.

"I let her crash on my couch." clarified Jennie.

"What about Kang?" asked Chaeyoung.

"What about Kang?" repeated Jennie.

"He's practically moved in with you, Jennie." Chaeyoung rolled her eyes.

Lisa furrowed her brows, looking at Jennie.

"He's just a friend." said Jennie, genuinely confused, "You know that, Chaeyoung."

"Yeah, I do." chuckled Chaeyoung as she looked over at Lisa with her lips on a straight line as she gripped her spoon tightly. Her little devious plan was working.

Jisoo knew exactly what her fiancé was doing and just chuckled to herself, observing the situation. Jennie was oblivious, Lisa was jealous, and Chaeyoung was grinning mischieviously to herself.

Chaeyoung started another topic and all girls hopped on the discussion quickly, although Lisa was a bit quieter this time.

Both girls entered their home at 6 in the evening with no words coming out of their mouths. After the delightful lunch the four of them had, Lisa dropped Jennie off at Ruby Jane and went straight to her own headquarters as well. Lisa hung around her office, occasionally signing some papers before going to pick up Jennie from work and driving home in comfortable silence.

They lazily removed their shoes as they walked into the house, Jennie going straight to the powder room before saying a quick "I gotta pee." as Lisa walked into the living room.
