Chapter 1- This will be hell

"Mom, dad why do I have to go as well. I understand sending Aubrey and Jason, but I'm old enough to stay here by myself," Kinsley asked her parents.

She was already angry when they told her she had to leave for California and stay with a bunch of strangers. But when her parents just shook their head at her she blew up.

" I'm 17 already and I have a life I want to live here the summer before senior year. Why can't you understand where I'm coming from?" Kinsley's mom, Nicole, looked at her daughter with pity.

" Honey it's whats best for you all. You can't stay here for two months by yourself. If there was any other way we would try it." Kinsley huffed at her mother and crossed her arms. Her dad, Jackson,shot her a look.

" Listen Kinsley this is happening wether you want it to or not. Rebecca and Liam are great people and so are their children. Their oldest is around the same age as you and their youngest is Jason's age, so maybe you all can become friends."

Kinsley shook her head, "Dad I already have friends I don't need some Cali Barbie to hang around with." Her mother was about to say something before they were interrupted by two people running down the stairs.

" I can't believe we get to stay in California for two months this is amazing", exclaimed Aubrey as she ran and jump on her parents. Jason laughed happily and nodded. "I heard that the surfing there is amazing", he said while hugging his parents.

Their mom shots Kinsley a look and which caused her to sigh. Aubrey and Jason are only a year apart at 14 and 13 with Aubrey being the older one. It's not often that Kinsley see's her siblings so happy due to their parents constantly working away from home.

She would do anything to make them happy even if it means being miserable in California. "Fine" she agreed. Her parents turned to her. "What" her father asked. She sighed again, " I will go to California."
Both her parents smiled at her and went to pull her into a hug. "Thank you" her mother told her.

Kinsley smiled and pulled away, "As much as I love hugs I have to go pack for tomorrow." Her parents nodded and went back to their other kids who were chatting away. Kinsley ran up stair and jumped on her bed while grabbing her phone. She instantly sent a text in the group chat that had all we friends.

Kinsley- Hey guys looks like I'm head to California.
Mia- Oh my gosh for how long?
Kinsley- Two months.
Piper- That's so long like the whole summer.
Nathan- Noooo!! They can't send my favorite girl away!!

Kinsley smiled her and Nathan sort of had feelings for each other and she planned on dating him this summer. Looks like that won't happen.

Kinsley- I know my parents have another business trip and want us to stay with their friends they haven't seen since college.
Daniel- Girl that sounds risky.
Mia- On the plus side you will be surrounded by beautiful people and by the ocean.
Kinsley- I guess your right. I have to go pack now. I call you all tomorrow.

Kinsley put her phone down and got off her bed. She head to her walk-in closet and stood there wondering what to take. She took arm fulls of her clothes to her bed and began to pack.

In the end she filled two suitcases, but she planned to go shopping for more stuff when she got there. Once she has everything ready she heads to her bed and sets an alarm for 3am since the flight leaves at 5am. She sets her phone down and rolls over. Right before she falls asleep one sentence goes through her head.
