Akruti Arora

Anxious for the condition...here you go...

Since my brother was already working in our company and managing from the Mumbai branch my whole family decided to shift to Mumbai.

'I guess you guys are thinking 'man they are so dramatic' ...well that's true'. Making my uncles and grandpas understand was a hell a lot of tasks.

" Listen, my people, the head office is in Delhi. So some of you must stay here. End of discussion. Dot." No one retorted, but they started to quarrel among themselves for the place 'who'll accompany me to Mumbai.' Finally, they came to a decision stating ' both your grandparents will take a turn each month. Same goes with your uncles' family'.

After hearing this set-up my brother Sahil whined saying "Why do you guys need to tag along with her....already she's gonna be the death of me when she's here...and now you guys...and others coming in the cycle...great just great". He got so many scolding from our family members from eldest to the youngest.

' No one loves me, you all just love her' was his reply after hearing from my family that too in the most dramatic way.

'You see dramatic gene flows in our body.'

Then my dadu (paternal grandfather) Kedar Arora and my dadi (paternal grandmother) Vidhya Arora again scolded him for his worst acting.

'Yup for his acting skills'

"Sahil you need to enhance your drama skills, you actually suck at drama, if you have free time go and enroll in some drama class" was my dadu's reply. My whole family was laughing their ass out, while my brother continued whining.

"We know also know that you love your sister the most Sahil, even more than we do" was my dadi's reply.

"That's right" was Sahil's reply. I could bet you he was smiling like an idiot that side.

"See you soon Bhai (brother)" I said 'waiting for you kiddo' was his reply.

So here I'm in Mumbai with my quarter strength of my family. "You unpack your stuff, in the evening we'll go out somewhere, I'll leaves to the office now," my brother said while side hugging me. He's so sweet, but sometimes he can be a devil too.

"Ms. Akruti Arora, now move your lazy ass and unpack your things." Shouted my mother from the kitchen.

"Such a stubborn woman" I murmured.

"Did you mumble anything?" asked my mother. Damn, she has sharp ears.

"No mom ", I replied back and hurried towards my room, while others laughed at my expense.

'Evil family I tell you'

After unpacking all my stuff and arranging them properly it was already evening. I plopped myself on the bed.

'What a tiring day' I felt.

When I was about to close my eyes when my sweet brother 'note the sarcasm' just barged into my room.

"Aren't you ready yet?", he inquired me. He was fresh, looking good in his blue and white raglan sleeved T-shirt matching it with black jeans.

"I finished my chore, just before 10 mins, I'll be downstairs within 15 and one more things Mr.Arora knock before you enter my room", telling this went I towards my bathroom.

"Yeah, whatever" was his reply. After taking a refreshing bath I dressed in white Patiala suit matching it with multi-colored shawl since my sanity was saying me to dress in an Indian outfit. I tied my hair in a French braid, applying kajal, eyeliner, and lip-gloss, I headed downstairs.

"Wow, my granddaughter is looking like an angel. Why did you dress in Indian outfit??" asked my nanu.

I just shrugged my shoulder in response. "So many eyes are gonna look at you today. Wow, finally I'll get a son-in-law", saying this my mother started daydreaming, whilst my brother scoffed at her words.

"I'll pull their eyes out of their sockets if they do" replied my brother coolly like it was his hobby.

"Oii..boy don't you dare do that to my son-in-law, you get that" retorted my father, whilst my grandma, grandpa, and my mom nodded their head vigorously.

'Okay now, this is totally insane...like what the hell...my family... They're just... Argh!!'.

"Stop right there...just stop right there...I'm just going out to enjoy myself...and not for any 'groom hunting'...so please stop it. God, what are we gonna do with you guys" saying I sighed. My brother nodded his head agreeing to my words.

"But mark our words today a guy will surely see you.....like you are the only girl who exists in this world and nothing else .....and you won't stop dreaming about him," said my Nani grinning.

"Let's see" I replied to her in a challenging way.

"What's the best??" asked my nanu.

"Lemme think".

"Okay, If you lose, you'll say the company's name where you are going to attend the interview, and if they lose you'll be driving yourself to your workplace. How does this sound" my brother asked us?

'Yay if I win I can drive myself...please god don't make anyone notice me' I prayed internally.

"Okay" we all replied in unison, and my brother and I left for our outing.

"You should play the neutral part Sahil" my nanu yelled from inside.

"Okay, nanu", he yelled back.

' Let the game begin....but God please please make sure that no one notices me' I prayed silently.
