Akruti Arora

We started to stroll around the streets of Mumbai. It was a chilly evening, thank God I was wearing the full sleeve. We entered a shop and bought all kind of miniatures since I treasured them. I also got scoldings from my brother too.

"You already have so many of them back at home, still you're buying them??" asked me in an annoying tone.

"What's your problem, anyway I'm gonna have these in my room and shouldn't bother you much" I snapped at him.

"Well well, my dear sister. I surely know one thing that you're gonna hear a hell a lot from mom", he replied back grinning.

"Yeah, I know that", I replied to him pouting.

"It's okay I'll handle her, now don't spoil your mood," he said.

"Aww, Bhai I wow you to infinity" I replied and jumped on him.

"Get away you monkey, and what is this 'I wow you' ?? " he asked raising his eyebrows at me.

"It's another way of saying ' I love you' ", I replied smiling at him cheekily.

"You and your ways. Okay now let's go and have gol-gappa," he said and I shouted in excitement. "Let's have our game," we both said in unison and laughed.

On reaching the shop, we both started having our food. It was so damn spicy that tears started flowing. I looked at my brother and noticed he was in the same condition as mine.

"Enough I'm giving up," we both said in unison. Unfortunately, we both had eaten the same number of gol-gappas, so we both lost the bet. And yes the bet was Rs.2000 only not any other weird bet, since already I have one with my family.

After paying the amount we rode towards the park which was near the shore. The park was so beautiful with lush green grass, stone embedded pathway, with trees on both the side. In end, it was so peaceful and I inhaled the fresh air. My tongue was still burning with the spicy gol-gappas, and we didn't have any water bottles in the car. So my brother has gone to get one.

I made myself comfortable under bright light, whilst other places had lights but they were dim compared to others. I was watching the sea waves in front of me when I heard some laughter sounds. I started looking around for the laughter when my eyes landed on the people far away from me. A man around my brother's age was playing with the babies. I couldn't get a clear picture of his face since the light above them was dull.

But I got the silhouette of the man and others. Two other men the same as his age, a lady, and an elderly person. My eyes were just trained on the man who had rolled his sleeves till his elbow, and I can say he has a very good physique though.

I saw one man and the elderly person looking at my side, sensing my gaze the mystery man looked up and saw me...but that gaze didn't creep me out, instead I felt safe. When I saw them looking at me I immediately turned my gaze.

Then I heard someone clear their throat and saw my brother smirking and standing there with a bottle. ' I hope he didn't catch me seeing that person', while I smiled at my brother.

"Looking at someone are we??" he asked grinning.

"Nope..nothing Bhai. I think you're being delusional", I replied and turned my head.

Viren Khanna:

A beautiful girl...

She was sitting under a light while our place had little light when compared to her place. One can just see our silhouette. Sensing our gaze on she immediately switched her gaze somewhere else. I continued to look at her. Her hair tied in a French braid. I felt my heart beating faster against my rib cage. She's perfect. But I narrowed my eyes when she smiled at a boy around my age. 'she has a boyfriend bruh....lucky him' I thought.

"Don't jump into conclusion. He can be her brother too just like you're to Preeti .", how perfectly he cleared my confusion.

"Look at you. You didn't even blink your eyes for 10 minutes...you didn't even notice when the babies left with their parents. So she's my granddaughter-in-law right...yes I won... I won", dadu continued shouting 'I won'. All people started gazing at us weirdly. Daksh was confused and dadu explained to him the morning scenario.

' Not him' I groaned loudly.

He also started shouting " I'm getting a Bhabhi (sister-in-law)" after hearing from dadu. The angel and the boy were looking at us.

'I have never been so embarrassed in my life before.'

I tried shutting up them but they didn't budge at all. ' Gosh why me'. Grabbing their arms I started pulling them from the spot before they cause any more embarrassment. All others started laughing, when I turned back I saw the best beautiful sight in my whole life. Her laughing face got imprinted in my mind. Seeing her laughing I felt something inside me churn, and immediately brought peace to my whole self.

I continued watching her when I heard some people clearing their throat.

'Shit'
