I've been dating Trey for the last eight months and its getting serious. He's a really nice guy and our future looks mighty bright, if you know what I mean.
I rolled over and looked at my alarm clock. 1:26. How in the world did I sleep in this late on a Saturday? I climbed out of bed and went downstairs about to get BreNiya out of her crib, but I heard my phone ringing on my night stand. A small smile formed on my lips when I saw "Baby💍" flashing across the screen.
Trey: Hey Bae.
Dej: Hey, goodmorning.
Trey: You mean good afternoon? And why you waking up this late?
Dej: Oh yeah. And I don't even know.
I chuckled.
Trey: Oh well, anyways. I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me tonight.
Dej: Sure, sounds fun. What time?
Trey: Be ready around 7. The movie starts at 8:30.
Dej:Okay. See you later. I love you.
Trey: I love you too.
Just as I hung up, Niya woke up and started crying as usual.
BreNiya is my baby sister who is 5 months old. I'm taking care of her because my mom is "too old" to. I just think she doesn't want to deal with a baby. I picked up my phone and dialed my bestfriend's number. While it was ringing, I picked up Bre and rocked her back and forth and balanced my phone on my shoulder.
Crystal: Hello.
Me: Hey Chrissy. Can you babysit Bre tonight?
Crystal: Can't. Going out with Rick tonight.
Me: Ughhhh. Now I gotta listen to my mama lecture about "responsibility and last minute" and all that.
I air-quoted as if she could see me.
Crystal: Whatever. You know she love seeing Niya.
Me: Yeah I guess so. Bye Chrissy.
Crystal: Bye boo.
I sighed, preparing myself for this long lecture and dialed my mom's number.
Mama: Hello.
Me: Hey mommy.
Mama: Mommy? You haven't called me that in years. What you want now?
Me: Okay you got me. Can you watch Bre tonight?
Mama: I would lecture you but I wanna see my baby.
Me: Haha. Okay. See you later.
Mama: Alright baby, see you later. Love you.
Me:Alright, Love you too.
I hung up the phone and packed Niya's diaper. I decided to go the mall and get an outfit for tonight and maybe pick out a couple things for Niya. I got Niya dressed, brushed my teeth and put on some clothes. We went downstairs, I put the alarm on, and walked out the door.

"Your total is $39.47." The lady at the register smiled and took the money. "Thank you for shopping at Charlotte Russe." I grabbed the bag and my receipt, turned on my heels, and walked out of the store and to the parking lot where my car was parked. I dug in my purse for my keys, buckled Niya in, put the bags in my trunk, and started driving.

I looked at my clock and saw that it was 6:37. I decided to go ahead and drop Niya off at my mom's house.
Once we got to Mama's house, I rang the doorbell and Mama's husband opened the door. "Hey Sean". "Hey baby and thanks for bringing her. You know we love it when she comes over even though we can walk and get her any time." I chuckled. "You know I love it too. Thanks again." "Anytime baby."
I went back home and got the bags out of my trunk. I walked in, turned the alarm off, and went upstairs to my room. I picked an outfit from everyhing I got. I decided to wear something casual since we were going to the movies. I heard my phone ding and pulled it out from my purse. I smiled once I saw that Trey had texted me.
Trey: Almost at your house.
Me: Kk.
