At the age of 17 you should be mature enough to handle another first day of school right? Wrong! How the hell were you supposed to be confident when literally everybody could squash you? Standing at the impressive height of 5 foot there was nobody you didn't have to look up to, save a child, which even then was a possibility. Your small, frail stature stands to be the number one cause of your anxiety, social anxiety that is.
That anxiety had stopped you from blossoming into the beautiful social butterfly you were supposed to be, or your mom thought you were supposed to be. You were always halled away in your room reading a book and on the rare chance you were in public you were always on your phone. You never conversed with anyone other then your family for fear of bullying, rejection, etc. Your lack of friends was the main reason for you moving schools constantly, your mother wanted to give a chance to make friends but every time you moved schools it was the same. Avoid people. Avoid people. Avoid people.
Your mother's unconditional love for you was the only thing that kept you going some days. To be perfectly honest, you wanted friends, you wanted a social life, you wanted to be a normal teenager. You just......couldn't be. You weren't normal in your mind. So you distanced yourself so people wouldn't find out exactly how weird you are or what you like. For instance your love of Minecraft, or how you scroll through reddit every hour, or how you wish fictional anime characters were real so you could have a relationship with them and maybe even get married and have adorable kids but you can't cause they're not real so all you have left is reading about-excuse me. I got a little of track.
Karasuno high was your moms last attempt to get you to socialize. When i tell you that she prayed when you left for school I mean she prayed. Though it didn't help much because you were currently on your way to a deserted, or so you thought, gym.
You were ready for some peace and quiet, so obviously you couldn't go home. Your best chance was the building right in front of you. You successfully opened the door and got your left foot when things went wrong. A stray volleyball came right at your face without giving you a chance to defend yourself.
"AH! Son of a bi-," you were promptly cut off by your head hitting the floor, immediately knocking you out.
*Time Skip*
You woke up looking at the nurse's ceiling, a dull ache in your skull.
"Oh my god your finally awake!" You looked in the direction of the voice revealing a somewhat short, but very hot boy. He had skicked back black hair with a tuffed of orange sticking up in the front. He also had a dashing grin that fit well with his beautiful brown eyes. Just the sight of him made you blush.
"Are you alright? You hit your head pretty hard. It be such a shame to let a pretty lady such as yourself get hurt." His last statement echoed in you head causing your blush to darken, and his grin to turn into a smirk.
"I'm Nishinoya by the way. What's your name."
"I-it's... u-um....Y-Y/n."
"Your stuttering is adorable. Wanna be friends?"
Even against your better judgement you couldn't refuse the charming boy in front of you.
"S-sure."
Oh how thrilled you mother will be.
