The Old Me

After the whole thing at the sleepover me and Dex became quite close friends in the past few weeks. When ever we do spend time together it doesn't seem as uncomfortable as it used to. Following that me and Keefe have even started to warm up to each other! Even though I learned that the name Bangs Boy was certainly not a nickname. Everyone had seemed to warm up to me these past weeks. Yet I couldn't shake the feeling that I was missing something, like about her part of me I couldn't quite reach. Like I dream that I had forgotten over night. Which I had technically speaking.

So now I was sitting in my bedroom, staring at the wall. Well I was, until someone came in. "Hi Tam! What are you doing?" My friend asked as  they walked in, taking a seat next to me.  "Oh, hi. Nothing really, I'm just... Really tired." I told them, yawning for effect. "Um sure you are buddy. What really wrong?" They asked, picking up a notebook from the self. "I was just wondering... Did, have I changed? Like, am I different from who I used to be?" I asked, giving my bangs a hard tug. "Well, your certainly not the same as before the, um, accident. Why would you be?" They asked, "you have a whole different mind set to go off of now! Its like you got a fresh start." They exclaimed.

I just sighed and looked away. "Hey Dex? Can you help me remember the old me?" I asked, "what?" He asked confused. "I may never know what happened before the accident, but maybe your right. I have a fresh start, but. I can't just let go of everything I had before, all those memories, and experiences. I want to remember all of those."  I told him. He just nodded, " you may not like what you remember Tam. It wasn't always this peaceful in the lost cities. " he warned. "I figured." He extended his hand, I grabbed it. "Lets help you remember well, you."
