After the sink in Sophie's room had faded everyone allowed themselves to enter the room again, while Iggy was temporarily banned from his own home. Tam took his seat by Dex and they began the game. Lihn had chose to go with Base Quest later telling me that, and I quote, "I have no idea what you would chose, because in fact, it you haven't noticed, I'm not you Tam."

Now we were playing a game I had never heard of, and they might have forgotten to explain the rules. It was boys against girls and I was... seeking? I didn't know what to do, so I just stood there. Literally just stood there, it was dark outside, and the moon was full. It was also very cold, I sat down, not knowing what to do. Who was I seeking? I pulled on my bangs, frustrated. I was probably being dumb, not asking for help.

Finally after awhile Dex wondered into my area, "Oh there you are! Me and the others were looking for you! Have you been right here this whole time?" He asked, laughing. I looked up, trying to find the right words to explain that I had no idea what to do and I had been sitting here for the last 30 minutes. "No one explained how to play." I grumbled, looking away. I was to embarrassed to be embarrassed. "Ohhhh, ya, um sorry about that." He scratched his head, "Uhhh.. Well. Did you want me to explain? I mean, I'm not exactly the best at the game but I could show you?" He asked me, awkwardly. I wonder if past me ever talked to Dex at all.

"Sure." I said casually, trying not to show how relieved I felt. He explained the game while the others found us, Dex told them that I didn't know how to play. Keefe took the opportunity to tease me about it. "I can just imagine bangs boy sitting here moping." He laughed as he patted my back, "ask for help next time Tam!" He continued, I was in shock. He called me Tam. Dex caught it too, "Keefe, you called him by his name." "are you feeling alright? Maybe we should call Elwin." Dex laughed, Keefe glared. "come on guys it's getting late," Sophie told us, trying to hold back her laugh.

As we walked back towards Sophie's home I stopped Dex, "um thanks.." I told him, "for what?" He asked, looking confused. "For helping me, I appreciate it." I grumbled, embarrassed that I even needed help. "Oh, uh, sure thing!" He said, "You know it's okay to ask for help, I know you and I dont talk much but you're still my friend." He told me, smiling. My head snapped up, "Friends?" I asked, now smiling. "Ya, friends. " he said and ran over to catch up with the others. I stood there amazed, did old me ever make friends?
