"Hey Shota! Hizashi!" Oboro called. "Since school's over for the day, let's head to the hospital!"

Shota looked up from packing his bags. "For no reason whatsoever? Are you an idiot?"

Oboro slapped him on the back, laughing. "What a charmer! Anyway, my mom's in the hospital, so I want to visit her and my sister."

"YOU HAVE A SISTER?!!!!!" Hizashi yelled. "YOU NEVER TOLd us.." He felt his voice go down a few decibels.

He turned to see Shota glaring at him, eyes red and his shoulder length black hair up in the air.

"Sorry, sorry," Hizashi said sheepishly. Shota went back to normal. He sighed.

"Which hospital is your mom and sister in?" Shota asked.

"The hospital nearest to U.A., actually," Oboro said. "My mom and sister have been there since my sister was born. My sister and mom were both sick, so they've been in the hospital for the past two years. I haven't seen either of them." His face saddened, then brightened again. "But they both are healthier now, so I can visit them today!"

Shota and Hizashi shared a look. "Are you sure you want us to come?" Hizashi asked. "I mean, man, this is the first time you've seen your mom in two years, and first time seeing your sister at all."

Oboro nodded.

"Of course! My sister just has to meet my best friends! And I've still talked to my mom over the phone, and she really wants to see you two as well," Oboro said with a smile.

"All right," Shota said. "My parents don't care where I go without telling them, as long as I come back before 10 pm, so I'll go."

"I'll come too!" Hizashi exclaimed. "I just need to tell my parents I'm with you two, and then I'll be good."

"What?"

"I'm sorry, young man, but there is only one patient here named Shirakumo."

The receptionist informed Oboro as he stared in shock at the woman.

"B-but, there are supposed to be two family members here," he said, confused. "I don't understand."

Another woman came up behind the receptionist. "Why, if it isn't Oboro-kun! Brought some friends over, I see."

"Hi, Haruna-san," Oboro said. "These are my friends, Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada."

"Nice to meet you!" the woman named Haruna smiled brightly. "I'm Suki Haruna, a friend of Oboro's parents. I'm a nurse here. Now, what's the trouble, Oboro-kun?"

"This lady is saying there's only one patient named Shirakumo here," Oboro explained. "Shouldn't both my sister and my mom be here?"

Haruna's face fell. "This receptionist started today, so she wouldn't know. Oboro-kun, your mother's dead. She died last night."

"What?" Oboro asked. He gave an anxious smile. "You're kidding right?" He asked. "I mean, there's no way my mom's dead, right? I'm going to walk into that hospital room, and I'm going to see her-" His voice cracked.

With a sad look on her face, Haruna led the teenage trio to a bench. Oboro sank down on the bench, and held his head in his hands. Hizashi and Shota sat next to him on either side. Haruna stood in front of them.

"I was so excited to see her in person again," Oboro said quietly. He then broke down.

"I talked to her just yesterday afternoon. She seemed okay, happy even. Now I'll never see her again, and my little sister won't even remember her!" he sobbed, tears streaming down his cheeks.
