I changed into my designer green dress and black heels to find Draco, downstairs in his all black suit sitting on an accessory bench. He was rather attractive in his suit and I blushed but quickly tried to ignore my feelings for once and quickly ran downstairs.

"Draco!" I yelled as I adjusted my hair.

    "Y/N, you scared me," he flinched. He gazed at me as I came down the stairs and ran over to him.

    "Ugh, sorry. Are you ready, our parents just told we have to welcome the Montague's and my grandparents when they come."

    "Ya, I know." He responded. "Aish, I'm tired." He said, rubbing his eyes.

    "Same. I'm always tired before these events but I gain more energy once more people get here. Ya know?"

    "I guess," he said. We suddenly heard the doorbell and peeked out from behind the wall to see a house elf opening the door. 4 guests came in through the door and Narcissa came running out from a hallway to welcome them.

"Ugh, people are already here. I'm not ready yet!" I exclaimed as I turned back around but started fixing my hair and patting my face to set my makeup. Draco sighed as we started to walk down a hallway. "Hey let's go to the Sunset Room while we wait for them," I suggested. He nodded as we continued to walk.

"Why do you always have to be fixing your makeup and hair?"

"Why? I think it makes me look pretty."

"You look pretty either way," he said. He then blushed and seemed embarrassed that he had just admitted to him thinking I'm pretty. I blushed too but we kept walking silently. When we arrived at the Sunset Room we both awkwardly stood in the doorway. I walked over to the piano and started to play a slow but skillful song. Draco stood there and watched me but didn't come closer. I smiled at him and he slightly grinned but looked away. I think we both knew we liked each other, and everyone around us has clearly known for months but we've never really said anything to each other, not just our friends, but even our parents have obviously caught on. I really want to tell him but I don't know how, so I think I will when school starts again, but I'll just have to wait. I'll ask Isla to help me when I see her again. We'll have time to plan since Draco and I are going back to school a few days early.

"Y/N, I forgot you played so well," he complimented.

"Thanks, but, how could you forget, I've been practicing it every day since I've gotten here, and also like the past 9 years!" I giggled. He laughed and walked over to watch as I continued playing. I looked at him and smiled again as we gazed into each other's eyes.

"Y/N! Draco! The Montagues are coming soon and so are Y/N's grandparents! Be by the door soon!" yelled Lucius from down the hall. I stopped playing the piano and Draco and I quickly ran back to the grand foyer and stood by the door, waiting. When we heard a knock, Draco opened the door to welcome my grandparents and a few of my other family members. I curtsied and welcomed them, then led them into the ballroom to my parents. I noticed a lot more people had arrived since Draco and I left to go to the Sunset Room. They were the patriarchs of the family and I was the main inheritor of the Y/L/N fortune, so my parents are pretty serious about me acting well in front of them. Sometimes it's annoying, but to be honest it doesn't really bother me. Draco and I started chatting back at the entrance until we heard another knock. Draco routinely opened the door and welcomed the Montague family inside.

"Eli!" I squealed as I ran towards him and gave him a hug. He's one of my best friends, he's close to Draco too. "Y/N! Draco!" he said, still in my embrace. I pulled away and started walking to the main living room with him and Draco. We all sat down on the couch and immediately started a conversation. We gossiped about school and our families and talked about what happened in the week we were apart. See, Eli is in my "friend group" along with Isla, Sakura, Blaise, Pansy,, and Draco.
