Chapter 16: I'm Not Leaving

June 30, 4:00 pm

Y/N pov

"Y/N! Y/N!" Draco said as he ran up to me, stressfully. We were alone in a corridor and I knew he would tell me something important because nobody could hear us.

"What?" I responded, alerted of a clear situation at hand.

"They're coming tonight. Go back to the Manor, you'll be safe there." He grabbed my arm and looked at me.

"What no! I can't leave you here alone with them!"

"I just want you to be safe! Please!"

"No, I'm not leaving you here alone." I crossed my arms and turned around. He let go of me and sighed, knowing he wouldn't be able to convince me.

8 hours later: 11:00 pm

I was looking around for Draco, when Alistair came sprinting over to me.

"Y/N! Please don't go! I don't want to lose you, you're my sister and I won't let you get hurt." He grabbed my hand and tried to walk away with me but I wouldn't budge.

"No! I have to go find Draco! Just let me, you can wait for me outside the castle when he's done and I'll meet you there!"

"Please, don't go." I ran away, heading towards the Astronomy Tower. Alistair tried to chase me but I was faster than him and escaped just as he got tired and gave up. I was about to go up the stairs to Astronomy Tower to clear my mind after not being able to find Draco, when I saw Harry beneath it. I heard commotion coming from upstairs and I walked up to him. He put his finger to his lips, signaling me to be quiet as I looked up. He raised his wand and pointed it at Draco, and I hit him on the shoulder, but he continued to do so. I saw Draco and Dumbledore upstairs, as long as a few Death Eaters. I heard Bellatrix yelling at him, and shivered, almost tearing up. Draco looked hurt and like he was in a lot of pain.

"Harry, what's going on... I knew this was gonna happen, but why are you here?" I asked, questioningly. He explained that he and Dumbledore just went looking for a Horcrux and found one, but just when he was talking to him, Draco came up. Suddenly, we both turned and saw Snape pointing his wand at Harry. Snape put his finger to his lips and Harry lowered his want, feeling intimidated. Snape went upstairs and everyone went silent. Draco was almost crying when Snape came up, and immediately backed away. I shed a tear at the sight of Draco crying, and couldn't look at him. I ran up the stairs and stopped, everyone turned to look at me.

"Well hello beautiful," Bellatrix laughed as she slowly walked over to me and pointed her wand to my neck, bringing her face closer to mine. I whimpered but tried not to flinch and didn't move at all.

"Stop! Stop it!" Draco yelled, now fully in tears. Bellatrix looked at him and smirked.

"Oh! Is this that person you've been talking about all the time, well what should we do with them?" She walked around me, and I still stood there without moving. Then, Dumbledore started to speak and the Bellatrix went quiet.

"Severus, please," Dumbledore whispered.

"Avadakedavra," Snape waved his wand and watched as Dumbledore fell from the tower. I covered my face and started to cry even more, and Draco ran up to me, hugging me. Bellatrix started to laugh and she ran over to the edge and cast the Dark Mark into the night sky. They all ran down and Draco followed as he told me to go home, while Bellatrix's laughs were echoing in the distance.

I ran back outside of the castle and met a frightened Alistair as well, waiting for me. We left the castle and went back to Malfoy Manor and waited for Draco to get back.
