Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

The chart smashing Nintendo game that had become the bane of Kuroos friendships almost as quickly as it was selling - thanks to Kenma and yourself consistently visiting each other's Islands that is.

Gaming sessions had been possessed by the phenomenon of babbling animals and the Captain was not immune to its charm either, although still in denial that it was in fact your beguiling charms which ultimately persuaded him to purchase it. Kenma wasn't as naïve, being painfully aware of his friends flourishing romantic incline toward you had left him with a plethora of taunting remarks whenever Kuroo decided to scheme against him. So, Mario Kart was a welcomed alternative for the current rainy afternoon.

"Alright I'm asking for a friend, but how would you two suggest courting a romantic interest?" Kuroo 'unexpectedly' propositioned with the three of you having recently completed a Mario Kart Grand Prix, you presumed it was likely on behalf of his teammate Yamamoto who was quite open about his feelings toward cute managers but failed to date any of them.

Kenma on the other hand, held an analytic gaze over his Captain, already deciphering his 'subtle' intention that had nothing to do with a 'friend'.

Accompanied by a prolonged exasperated sigh, the Setter indulged in his scheming antics anyway, if only to help him out.

"I'd give them some blue roses."

Kuroo snapped to his best friend incredulously, shaking his head with an amused chuckle as he nudged your side rather mischievously as if to share his emotions with you.

"How the- are you hearing this (Y/n), he'd give his crush blue roses on Animal Crossing."

Much to his surprise you playfully shoved his shoulder with a lovestruck lilt to your voice and victoriously high fived a smug Kenma in mutual agreement as you spoke.

"That's beautiful! I'd marry a guy if they ever brought some to my town, I haven't managed to breed them yet so it's actually a really creative idea. Kenmas a genius." With your jokingly witty justification and mocking wink, you collected their glassware ready to get refills and possibly some snacks depending on your selection as the Volleyball pair set rules for a new tournament.

Teasing you as you left the room, Kuroo then became calculating quiet and absentmindedly hailed his best friends' full attention with a trailing but thoughtful timbre.

"Kenma..."

"Huh?" The Setter had his usually accurate assumptions, but still listened to his Captain who was too encapsulated by theories to spare a glance his way.

"I'm gonna need some blue roses from your Island..."

In reply, Kuroo didn't receive a verbal answer - instead a bored eye roll and sympathetic sigh taking its place as Kenma pulled out his Switch (which was already on in anticipation of this moment) and aimed to mail some over to his friend.

"HEY HEY HEY!"

The two jumped at the sudden booming earthquake to the once serene silence whilst you broke into fits of giggles at their purely offended expressions due the haunting catchphrase usage. Kenma shutting off the Switch in retaliation - task incomplete!
