Little Man: The Road Trip

Chapter 9

During the night I heard a loud bang. I woke up wondering what it was. I decided to climb out of my crib and escape since the harness is off me from usual day to day use. Then I heard a voice that sounded familiar. Oh no! He's out! He must have escaped! I got to get the phone and call the police. This can't be happening! No! No! No! Here I go again.
As I grab the phone I hear my name being called out.
"Johnny? Where are you...?"
Norman, well evil step dad is escaped out of prison. He wanted me and Mommy to die because we loved each other and he was anti-social. We had a party, when I first arrived to meeting Norman, and he just stayed in his office. Came out the next morning.
I decided to climb out of the window and make for the car, suddenly realizing I had pooped. Damn! It smells bad! I climbed out grabbing my diaper bag and ran to my neighbors house. Diane is such a sweet lady. I got to get to her house. She's just right around the corner. As I'm running, I bump into someone and fall over, also scraping my knees.
"You tried to run from me?! You are not allowed outsi-"
A gunshot sounded off and Norman's head exploded right in front of my eyes.
"Are you okay sweetie?"
Mommy was alive! I was so scared! I ran to Mommy and gave her a big hug. Then Diane ran out saying police is on the way, to come inside and to calm down. Once the police arrive they get Mommy's information and arrest her for murder. Court will determine her innocence. Until the court date, I was forced back into a foster care. Back to square one.
