Three months later, the court day was here and I missed Mommy so much. This is all my fault! If I waited for the next person to choose me at the shelter Norman would have been nicer to her. I wish I didn't have to wear diapers but I can't control it.
Suddenly, the foster lady, Carol, ushers me into court.
"All rise!"
Everyone rises.
"You may sit. This case is against the murder of Norman Cadbury. The charges of murder are against Beth Cadbury, wife of Norman Cadbury. First to the stand is her adopted boy, Johnny."
I was ushered to a stand and sat down.
"Did you Mom ever hurt you?"
"No. She's a good Mommy!" I said angrily.
"May I ask why you act like a child?"
"Objection! This is unrelated to our case!" My Mommy's lawyer shouted out.
"Fine. What makes your mom a good Mommy?"
"She feeds me, clothes me, changes my diapers and bathes me. I get back rubs before bed and we cuddle at night watching Disney movies!"
"So you like Disney? Great movies. Now do you like happy endings?"
"I do, sir, why?"
"Did your Mommy shoot your new Daddy, Norman?"
"He has a gun pointed at me and Mommy shot him protecting me from him trying to kill me!" I started to cry. "I want to leave! Please!"
"No more questions."
Judge Daniels then turned to the police questions in the interrogation video documented on tape. One of the officers grabs the TV and inserts the tape, starting the video.
This video showed the same results as mine from what I said. Then recess was taken for the results of Mommy to be back with me. Nobody left, just waiting for the results. A few minutes go by and Judge Daniels and the Jury come out.
"For the charge of murder, the release of Beth Cadbury is not allowed and will be sentenced to life in prison. Doing any murder, acting as authorities, is against the law. It is-"
"Objection!" A lawyer stands up with a document that wasn't shown during trial to Judge Daniels and hands it over to be seen.
"May I ask what this is?"
"The journal of Norman Cadbury. Go five pages from the last page! It states the plotting of the murder of Beth Cadbury.
"Well then in that case, the case is closed. Beth Cadbury is now free! Congratulations!"
When Mommy got out of prison I ran to her and gave her a big hug and kiss.
"Ready to go home now, sweetie?" Mommy asked.
"Yes! Let us go home now Mommy!"(Thank you all for reading! Hope you enjoyed the first and second novel! More Johnny soon...)
