I wake up to eat breakfast and go say good morning to a diaper change by Beth. Then a question struck me.
"Johnny, what if we were to fix this problem and move on?"
"I would rather wear diapers. I like me."
"It's not normal for someone your age to wet themselves and soil a diaper. You are going to be fourteen years old soon. How about we see what the doctor says. If it's permanent it's permanent. I just want to make sure your health is good."
I can't blame her so I agree. This has to be looked at.
"Johnny, there's something else. I am thinking... of a... road trip! I was planning Disney World! It's only a couple days drive. What do you say?"
"What can I do in the car? Two days drive? I don't know. What if a doctor says I have to be in the hospital for weeks?"
"I won't do that to you, sweetie. Let's just think about good things. Go pack a bag and don't forget to pack extra diapers. I'll have to grab basic ones from Walgreens or something so we got easier daytime diapers for you."
"Okay! Weeeee! Road trip! My first road trip!"
I couldn't wait! I ran up the stairs, hearing the sound of my crunchy diaper, and pack my things in three bags. First bag for my supplies like diapers and wipes, second bag for all my clothes and the last bag is my diaper bag. I carry all my stuff down and go back up for my stuffed animal lion.
"I'm ready! I will put them in the car!"
Beth walks up to me and laughs.
"Silly! We are not leaving today. First thing in the morning. Well come to think of it, let's get you to the doctor to check you then we can leave for Disney."
I started to get a little sad thinking about the possibility of no diapers if I get fixed. Will I be back to normal? Are toilets coming back to my life? All I can say, which I accidentally said aloud, "Gross! Toilets are nasty!"
"Are you saying you like this way of life for yourself?"
"I got used to it. I like my diapers. I-"
"Okay well let's go get you checked. I'll grab your diaper bag."
Beth ended up taking me right then and there to see the doctor. A few minutes later, I started to stink. I really don't know when I go.
"Did someone make a stinky?" Beth says as she laughs while driving.
"Uh... maybe" I added.
Just as we got through the traffic light turning left, we arrive at the doctors office. I start to cry a little, in fear of the doctor. As soon as we park, Beth changes me in the back seat and we go inside to walk into the waiting room. Then the nurse comes out.
"Johnny?" Nurse says looking around.
I get up and walk to the nurse with Beth, being escorted to the doctors check-up room. The nurse starts asking me information about my diaper wearing. She tells Beth that the doctor does examinations before he does any kind of surgery as well. I had to agree to be looked at! Ugh! The nurse finally finishes her tasks and walks out telling us, "Just a few minutes."
Fifteen minutes later, the doctor walks in greeting himself.
Beth starts talking as the doctor walks in.
"I want to know if my son is okay due to the condition he's in. Will he be bound to diapers? That's my main concern."
"Let's take a basic examine then."
The doctor lays me down and pulls my clothes off and untapes my diaper.
"I see light rash which is normal from time to time. Johnny, can you cough a couple times?"
I did as he asked and he had a puzzled look on his face.
"Okay Johnny good job! Have you felt your poo come out as well or no?"
"He hasn't felt it for a while now." Beth ended up talking for me. She saw I was scared to talk.
"When was the last time you felt yourself pee or poo?"
"Two months ago. I don't think it's gonna change." Johnny answered.
"Well Johnny, I think you will need to get looked inside. I want you to practice trying to use the restroom to get your mind into being re-trained for the bathroom. I will put an order in for a special diaper with an alarm. It goes off when it senses your bladder to have to pee. After three weeks, I'll need to check your progress."
That concluded our visit and we were escorted out with this pack of diapers for the two weeks. Beth and I say goodbye to the doctor and we leave to go home and eat before the road trip.
