It was you and your boyfriend's, Giorno, anniversary. You've been together for a while, two years at least. You were on a dangerous mission with Bruno until everything went to shit.
"Y/N! Y/N! Can you hear me!? Please it's me Bruno, don't die on me!"
Was the last words you heard before fainting from blood loss.
...
"Hmm.."
"Hm?"
Your eyes slowly opened, you were shunned from the bright hospital lights that lit up your room. "Where am I?" You inquired. You softly shuffled yourself up. Looking to your right you can see a beeping, obnoxious monitor that kept track of your heart rate. On your arm was a tub filled with blood connected to a blood pounce that sat right next to the monitor.
The door creeped open, you saw a doctor and a few men behind him. "Oh you're awake, you have guests. May I them to come in?" He requested before making another step. "Uuuh..." you starred at him for a while, still trying to clear your head "Yes...".
Then two men walked inside the room, the door closed once the doctor left. A blonde and one with black hair. "Oh love! I'm so glad you're okay!" The blonde said, running up to you and holding your hands tightly as he kneeled right besides your bed. "Giorno...what happened?" You asked him, looking at him with worry and confusion.
"We were on a mission. The enemy out smarted us and almost killed you, I got you to the others asap and got you to a safe hospital where they wouldn't find us. Unfortunately, the enemy got away" Bruno stated heavily. Ashamed as if he had failed you. "Oh..so, we didn't get him?" You sighed, turning away. "No. I'll be going after him with Abbachio later another day. You are a priority first while everyone keeps watch."
"It's going to be okay my love" Giorno said with a smile "oh, i got you flowers and chocolate, your favorite kinds too!" He said with joy, pointing over to the table with flowers and a heart box next to it "They have sweet fillings too."
You felt bad, today was supposed to be a romantic day with him, but instead you sat in a bed unconscious and weak. You failed. "I was knocked out for a whole day?" You shivered, starting to cry. Almost.
"Yes, more than 24 hours. But don't worry, knowing you're alive is not only the greatest relief but a gift" the blonde kissed your forehead and sat on the bed next to you. "Just worry about yourself for now, okay?" He almost demanded. You hesitated. You wanted it to be special this time. You just couldn't get a good day with him, for a full 24 hours or at least 12. Suppose that is the struggle of being on a bounty and in a relationship.
"I just..wish it didn't happen.." you sobbed into his chest as he pulled you closer to your body.
"I'll leave the two of you alone. You need it." Bruno said softly, leaving the room.
Giorno gently saying thank you to him. "I know.. Once you're all better, we can have a belated anniversary with just me and you. But to do that you need to focus on yourself." He said as he held your face up with his hands. "You know what, I'll go sneak us some food, just something small not too fancy."
"But what about the enemy? You need to be safe and not just being at any restaurant alone."
"I'll be fine, I can bring Mista while Bruno keeps you company." he wiped the tears from your eyes and kisses your cheek. "I'll be right back alright?" He asked with a smile.
"Alright. If you say so, but if you get caught I'll beat you up." You teased, Giorno smiled at your remark "okay fine." Giorno left and Bruno came back into the room, telling you about what happened and just making conversation. Bruno also trying to keep you happy since he cares for you also, as family/or as a friend and an ally.
Eventually Giorno came back with McDonald's, yeah McDonald's. "I got you a happy meal..ten piece chicken nuggets and a McFlurry!" he boasted, you looked at him with a laugh. "Thank you, baby." you beamed as he came closer and gave you the happy meal, he also had some food for himself. "Did Bruno want any?" You worried, "Just a drink, thank you." Bruno spoke as he grabbed his drink from the carrier.
"I don't usually have McDonald's but it was the closest thing here.. And I just thought I should try it with you."
"That's alright, I appreciate it anyway." you smile, kissing his cheek. "I think it's good, when I'm in the mood at least." You remarked "Makes sense...Do you want to watch TV?" He inquired, you nodded as you couldn't speak because you were eating. He turned the TV on and sat down next to you. It was crammed so you just sat in his lap and got comfy. Giorno giving you kisses and Bruno was minding his own business.
"Did you enjoy the meal?" The blonde asked "Of course, thank you again." you beamed once more, digging the back of your head into his chest, snuggling him.
"You're welcome love. Anything for you."
