Three Karasuno 1st years were once again grouped together, tired and sniffling, confused and frustrated. Another day had passed since Yachi's sudden confession, and the day had been spent with loss after loss. Missed spikes and dazed looks.
Thoughts invaded their minds one after another, "Why the hell did I have to fall for an idiot?" "Why is it affecting me like this, it's just a dumb crush!?!" "Have I bothered him with my confession?" "Why am I an idiot, and why did I have to fall for some short gremlin?!?" Now, not all of these were shared thoughts, but y'know how it is.
Kageyama was still a bit sick. His nose was stuffed and his eyes were watery all the time, Coach Ukai and Takeda had told him he should go home, and that they would even take him home themselves but the boy managed to let him stay. His red eyes swept the gym they were in, realizing Hinata wasn't in it. He wasn't sure if he felt relieved or not, especially when he noticed that damn Nekoma setter was missing too.
He cussed. Gaining the attention from Tsukishima and Yachi, who soon noticed the two missing volleyball players. Tsukishima got up and approached Akaashi, "Um.. Akaashi," he greeted, side eyeing Kuroo as he felt up Bokuto, "have you seen the Hinata and Nekoma's setter?"
"Oh! You mean Kenma? He went outside I think?" Kuroo chimed in from the side, "Shouyou went outside too," Bokuto said, thinking, "I think they left together."
"They what?" Kageyama asked, stepping up to the others. Yachi just hanging in the background.
"Yep." Kuroo smirked, "But, if you're planning on interrupting them, I'd advise against it. Kenma knows all about your little 'talks" with Chibi-chan." He chuckled, "And Kenma isn't one you wanna mess around with."
Tsukishima turned around real quick, annoyed. Out of the three, he was most hurt by the fact that Hinata hadn't even bothered to answer to the confession. Not that he knew the other two confessed. That privilege had only been given to Hitoka, and even then she only knew about Tsukishima's confession. And yes, Tsukishima knew of the other two liking Hinata, just didnt know they confessed.
Kageyama and Yachi stalked after him, following him to the hill, the tree standing quietly. Fireflies drifted around, making the place feel magical, like a whole ass Disney movie romance scene.
At least, for the 2 that were in the middle of that Disney movie.
Kenma held Hinata in a tight manner, the older boy's hands resting on the small of the youngers back. His face was buried in the area where Hinata's shoulder and neck met, his golden eyes hidden behind locks of hair.
The younger had his right arm wrapped around the taller ones shoulder, his left hand on the older's neck, thumb tracing small shapes on the exposed skin. Neither were saying a word but they weren't needed.
Tsukishima and the others just watched, quietly and heartbroken. It was clear that Hinata and Kenma were together, even clearer when the ladder locked predatory eyes with each of them. Further shocking everyone, including the 2nd years' boyfriend by falling backwards, dragging the younger with him.
A short yell bubbled from Hinata's before giggles spilled out, and his three schoolmates were ultimately gifted with the view of a very happy couple kissing. A very non accidental view, one set with a purpose of the 3 of them seeing.
"Shouyou. I heard one of your managers confessed to you, the blonde one." Kenma's voice directed towards Yachi, setting her back straight in an instant, 3 pairs of eyes set on her body. Not that Hinata noticed, playing with Kenma's hair as he laid on his chest.
"Mm." He nodded, "It was awful. Her along with Bakayama and Saltyshima all confessed." Shameful looks crossed each of the aforementioned faces.
"Oh?" Kenma feigned a small suprised look, "and what'd you do?"
"I- I'm sure you dont wanna hear. It's nothing anyway." Hinata tried to avoid the talk before Kenma slithered out a simple, "Shou-chan."
"I.. didn't answer them. I didn't feel the need to I guess. I mean, I really don't see why they like me, or why they would think I would like them." Hinata pouted, then nickname was his weakness and Kenma knew of that.
"Tsukishima has never been nice to me. In fact he teases me so much like what?? Why would I find that attractive, I'm not some masochist. And Bakayama. He's like a brother. A BROTHER!" At this point Hinata was just straddling Kenma, r a g i n g. "And.. hm there's really nothing wrong with Yachi, but I seriously thought she was a lesbian so." He leaned back down on Kenma's chest, listening to the muffled chuckles.
Let's just say the 3 really didn't appreciate what Hinata said about them, nor did they like that feeling of insecurity Kenma pushed into them either.
What a shitty couple.

I kinda hate this story anyway uh-
Also I was looking through my library and my book and someone else's was there, right? The other author changed their cover to the same picture as this one and I was so confused for like 20 minutes until my brain finally progressed everything 😭
