Chapter 2: Call For Help

Autumn's POV:

The police force came by my manor and I was with Kate still trying to calm me down. Superintendent Brown then spoke to me.

"This is very unlikely to happen, Miss Sanders" Superintendent Brown said. "Normally, we're supposed to call you when we find something but now it's just the opposite".

"It's going to be alright, Miss Autumn" Kate told me.

"Well, we'll see what we can do..." Superintendent Brown said.

The force then drove to the precinct to try to investigate the disk. Once again, Drew stayed back.

"Well, I've never seen you like this before" Drew told me.

"It's just... I never knew that this can happen..." I replied.

"It's okay, Miss Autumn. They'll try to get something out of it..." Kate consoled me.

"What happened to your arm?" Drew asked when he noticed her right arm in a makeshift sling.

"Well..." she replied. "I-It's a long story...".

"Hey, I haven't seen you before" Drew said to Kate. "Who are you?".

"Oh, um... I'm Katherine Harris. I'm, uh, new here" she introduced herself.

"Well, nice to meet you Katherine" Drew said as he held out his left hand. "Andrew Lewis, youngest of the force...".

She was nervous to shake his hand but she eventually took it and shook it.

"You're... very timid, aren't you?" Drew said.

Kate just nodded and I saw a light blush on her face.

"Well, it's nice meeting you..." Drew said before he went to his car and go back to the police precinct.

"B-Bye..." Kate whispered as he was driving off.

I then got a hunch that Kate has a crush on Drew because of the way she acted in front of him.

"Kate, do you have a crush on my friend, Drew?" I asked her.

"Eh!? Wha? N-N-No! N-Not at all!" she nervously answered.

I still kept my look at her to get her to confess.

"Okay fine... I do" Kate confessed.

"What will Mary say?" I teased.

"N-No! No! Please don't tell her!" she begged me. "I'll get in so much trouble!".

"I'm just teasing you" I told her. "I won't tell her".

"Whew, you scared me there, Miss Autumn" Kate sighed in relief.

We then went back inside and I went back to my room. I was walking in circles in my room, practically stressing out because I have to find Elizabeth before it's too late.

"Where could she be? Where could she be?" I muttered to myself in panic.

"Elly, please be okay..." I muttered.

Then I heard a knock at the door.

"Um, M-Miss Autumn?" I heard Kate asked as she opened the door slightly. "Uh, do you need anything?"

"Nothing right now, Kate" I replied.

"Uh, okay, Miss Autumn..." Kate said. "Tell me if you need anything. Don't stress to much...".

I laid down on my bed and I sighed in frustration. I didn't know what to do. I'm thinking that every second that passes, I could be closer to endangering Elizabeth's life. I'm running out of time!
