Chapter III: Violet et Argent.

Violet and Silver.

Saturday, finally! I get to bond with my new found friends after two weeks. I sipped on a straw from the bottle of coconut juice, "Delish!" soothing the heat of hot summer day. I patiently wait outside the entrance of XM Mall for Kim, Nikki and Ariel to arrive.

I remember the first time we came here last week, we took a shortcut and there were a bunch of dogs laying on the pavement and the road. We act tough as if our legs were not wobbling from fear. We tried to pass but with no luck they sensed our fear and came after us. We ran as fast as we could with our bags flying in different directions. It was my first wild track and field-like experience. We were out of breath and the only hope for us surviving was to enter the mall.

We planned to meet here with the intention of buying some materials for our  science class report on Monday and the most important thing of all are matching accessories. I'm so thrilled!

When I saw the girls coming closer, I drank the last drop of coconut juice bottle and threw it in the trash bin.

"Eliiiii!!!" Kim waving as they came, Nikki and Ariel is just right behind her.

"Girls!" I greet them with glee. "Where's Krista?"

"Catching up with lessons at home she said." was Nikki's response.

"I'm so excited! the accessory store I mentioned to you is on sale today" Kim seemed to have red my mind.

"Really? we should pick something cute!" Ariel suggested.

"Aww!! I can't wait, let's go inside now!" I said loudly.

We ran quickly in-line to the entrance.

"hey! I think we should go to the school supply store first. My parents will scold me." Nikki's Plea. We giggled at her anxiety but bought necessary materials for our report first and zoomed to the accessory store.

"a ring?" -Kim.

"head band?" -Ariel.

"uh... bracelet?"-Nikki.

"neck lace?" nope. A ring will make it hard to write, not everyone will always be in the mood to wear a head band while the bracelet and necklace here are too colourful it might get confiscated at school. What should we do?

The three of us sigh in what's supposed to be easy and exciting matter turned into a stressful one. I suggested to just go and look around for something else and come back if we really can't find anything.

We were heading outside the store when I saw Pure Magic across. That's it! I was desperate so grabbed Kim and Nikki with Ariel to the store.

Pure Magic was All in blue wallpaper and star decorations inside. There were teddy bears from a cute tea cup size to a five feet tall as me. There were frames, wallets, bags, table displays, card games, squeaky and funny toys. All sort of gifts you can buy. It was fun just looking around, like magic. We were cheerful and satisfied when we head out and got our matching moon key chains in different colours.

Monday

6:05 am. I'm a little late! I'll just hurry then. I imagined myself draw a "winning number 1" cloth headband just like in marathons wrapping it on my forehead. Warming up; clicking the heels of my shoes on the furnished cement floor, knuckles cracking, eyebrows against each other above my eyes that' are displaying a hundred percent focus! aaand I was sprinting to the third floor HA-HA!
