Teddy had not been wrong. Victoire avoided Teddy at all costs for the next month and a half, and before he knew it the usual Hogwarts Christmas trees were being placed in the castle. The castle grounds were enveloped by a thick blanket of pure white snow, and this only served as a reminder to Teddy that Victoire did not seem to be forgiving him anytime soon.

For once, Teddy was thankful for his studies as they distracted him from the emptiness he felt without Victoire. He could not remember a week since he was younger where they had not interacted at least once in a week. Even during the summer, their exchange of letters was constant.

Worst of all, Teddy had heard and sometimes seen for himself that Victoire was still going out with that fool Alex Young. It seemed that all the time she had once spared for Teddy was being rewarded to Alex, who was more than happy to brag about it to anyone that listened at the Hufflepuff table.

"I warned you that someone was going to make a move eventually, mate," Emmett said as he walked through the castle grounds. The three boys had their winter coats on, along with Hufflepuff scarfs and large puffy hats. The winter weather was nothing to mess with.

"You didn't warn me not to be an idiot about it," Teddy said grumpily as they passed the Hogwarts gates. "Now I've to spend two weeks with my nan asking me if we should invite Victoire over. She'll ask me a million questions the second I say no, I've never not wanted Victoire to come over."

"It's bad when even your granny knows that you're in love with her," Robert teased, not helping Teddy's bad mood. Teddy's friends did not care, though, because Teddy had been in a constant bad mood ever since the day him and Victoire had stopped talking. They had learnt to live with this new Teddy, though they tried their best to get the friends to speak again.

Of course, Teddy had tried multiple times to get Victoire to forgive him. Even going as far as to send her owls or to try and speak with her friends, absolutely nothing had worked and Victoire continued to act as though she had never been friends with him.

"Ha ha, so funny. Worse again, what if she invites Victoire around without even asking me. She does that sometimes, you know. Last summer I walked downstairs in my boxers, jumped half a mile when I noticed Victoire sat drinking tea with nan at the kitchen table."

"Hey, seeing you practically naked is a big step in a relationship, Ted. In some religions, you and Victoire should probably be married now," Emmett joked, to which Robert chuckled and Teddy threw a glare. Teddy did not mention how he remembered Victoire turning just as red as him, before hastily covering her eyes and demanding he go change.

The three boys soon arrived at Hogsmeade Station, where the Hogwart's Express sat ready to take the students home for the Christmas holidays. They boarded with ease, as it was usually much easier to find an empty compartment during the holidays. And indeed, after only stepping onto the train, they entered a vacant compartment.

"Let's stop talking about my miserable life, then," Teddy grumbled, taking a seat next to the window. He put his legs up on the other seats, stretching his lanky frame as Robert and Emmett sat beside each other.

"Speaking of Teddy's Victoire situation, can we talk about my issue?" Emmett asked, suddenly looking genuinely scared. Teddy and Robert groaned at the mention of Emmett's 'issue'. "It's a serious problem! Willow had no right to tell mum I was dating Eleanor, now mum's going to interrogate her for the entire time she's staying with us."

"Wait, Eleanor's staying with you? For how long? Are they all staying over?" Teddy was suddenly interested in Emmett's stupid problem.

"Uh, I dunno. Eleanor's staying for the whole break, anyway, because her parents are going to some Quidditch convention in America. I think Madison's staying for a few days too, I don't remember if Victoire was mentioned," Emmett said, thinking hard on the subject. He had very few interactions with his sister ever since he started dating one of her best friends, but this was what he could remember from the few that they had had.
