THE OLDEST GEMINI BLOODLINE IN EXISTENCE, the House of Didymos has a dark and mysterious history. In recent years, this family has produced more mass-murderers than any other family in Wizarding Britain. This Gemini bloodline is also responsible for the production of siphons, and are the only known family to produce such an abominable, pitiful breed of wizard in modern-day Britain and Ireland.
It was revealed soon after the Didymos Massacre of 1984 that Adrian Didymos himself was a siphon (a wizard or witch born without magic but possessing the ability to leech magic off another source, such as an object or real wizard). It seems as though a dark secret was what pushed sociopathic Adrian Didymos to murder his mother and six siblings, as well as rip out his father's speen.
Also murdered along with her siblings was Aurelia Didymos, the mother of mass-murderer Sirius Black's twin daughters Lacerta and Aquila. Aurelia Didymos had moved back in with her family following Black's imprisonment, and was found dead in the family garden. Sirius Black appeared distraught when he learned of her death, though his reaction is widely accepted as having been an act —— since it is rumoured that Black himself instructed Adrian Didymos on the black magic needed to murder his relatives.
When questioned about his son's depraved and despicable actions, Atticus Didymos (Head of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes) refused to give any believable reason for Adrian Didymos' tragic outburst, blaming it all on an insane mind and an innate wickedness caused by his siphonic nature.
