Sophie finally found Dex... at lunch... after struggling to find the dining hall... Nope. This was not going well. "Hi, guys!" She said casually sitting as far from Futz as possible. He moved to sit closer.
"Biana, scoot over." He said, squishing between his sister and Sophie. Biana rolled her eyes, but obliged. Sophie decided to contain her anger, allowing him to move his food in front of himself.
"So, Fix, is it?" She asked.
"Well-"
"And your friends are Biana, Tam, Linh, and Keefe?"
Dex looked up. "You forgot-"
"Oh yeah! Desk! Wait, aren't you irrelevant?" Dex looked shocked and hurt as the others started to laugh. "I'm kidding. You are a very relevant scrunchmuffin who belongs with Stina." Everyone continued to laugh, save Biana, who looked outraged.
"Sophie! What's the matter with you? You've never noticed anyone's crush before!"
"Ummmm... that's weird. I'm pretty sure I've never been part of anything romantic. I mean, come on! Barf..." Fitz cleared his throat.
"Well, actually-" Biana cut in.
"You guys were dating before he dumped you over a confidential secret, then Keefe got sick and he tried to make you leave the healing center. Then you guys heard something, but it broke Fitz's mind so you two put it in caches, then when you left Foxfire, the Neverseen thought you still knew, so they kidnapped and brainwashed you, and Fitz didn't tell us for a while because he was upset. So yep. Now your amnesia might permanent, and the Neverseen apparently has a spyball, so you probably saw everything Fitz hid from us. Also, you're in a love triangle. You're welcome!"
Everyone sat in silence as Tam facepalmed. "Who's in the triangle with me?" Sophe asked. Dex laughed as Fitz squirmed.
"Umm... Keefe and I?" He said shifting uncomfortably. "Dex used to be, but-"
"Wait, hold the phone, MY COUSIN HAD A CRUSH ON ME?!?!?!"
"Yep." Dex said. "But then we kissed and... it didn't work?" Sophie laughed. "What?" Dex asked.
"Okay. I have ship names for everyone now. Dex and Stina are Heks Dizznee, Tam and Biana are either Tiana or Bam, Linh and Wylie are Lylie for the Winh, Chandelier and Fitz are Chandelitz!" Sophe though. Out loud, she just told him, "Oh. I just thought it was an interesting choice of words." The bell rang, signaling end of lunch. "See you in PE!"She yelled.
"Bye! And remember!" Biana called back. "Tommorow, Keefe doesn't have detention!"
