We did actually end up leaving him at the department for the first night. His last crime was his only major one. The other crimes were simply minor.

I was back at the department. Hood was still in the cell, which is good. I thought he was going to...wait, never-mind. He still has the handcuffs on.

"Sup, cutie." Hood says.

"You're still trying to see if I'll let you go." I say.

"Fair. I know you won't. And I know you won't let me stay here the entire time up to my court case." Hood says.

"You're right, we're not making you stay here until your court case. Which is why one of us is letting you stay with us. I don't even know why we're doing this, but we are." I reply.

"Yo, Hemmings!" Clifford calls.

"Sup." I say.

"Can you at least take me out of the handcuffs now? It's like I can escape without the key." Hood says.

"By the way, if you do get taken home by one of us..there's no way for you to escape." Clifford says.

"The windows." Hood says.

"We live on the 5th floor of our apartment building. Unless you want to die, there's no escape." I say.

"Also, our front doors are always locked when we're not there. There's no escape there, too." Clifford says.

"You will be on my side for the court case right? Because I know I'm innocent. I was blackmailed into doing it!" Hood says.

"We'll do everything we can." I reply.

I remove the handcuffs and slip them into my pocket. After all, they were mine. I don't even get why we're taking him home. It's stupid, but one of us is.

"So, who's taking him?" I ask.

"He likes you, Hemmings. There's no denying that. He'll do anything just to be with you until his court case in 2 weeks." Clifford says.

"He doesn't even know me. Why would he like me?" I ask.

"Love at first sight." Clifford replies.

"I don't trust him. Blackmail? Let's say his previous crimes were also blackmail. He'd be innocent if he had concrete evidence of being blackmailed." I say.

"We have his stuff that we confiscated from him. We have all the stuff we need to see if he's telling the truth. I don't trust him either, but if he's innocent.." Clifford says.

I grab his phone. Wait, he has a password on it. The hell is his password. I guess I have to ask.

"Ey, what's your phone password??" I ask him.

"****." He says.

There we go. Let's see. Messages. Let's go. I read through all his messages that I found necessary to read. Hmm...

"Definitely seems like blackmail to me. 'If you don't do this, I'll kill your entire family.' He's innocent. He he didn't, he'd probably be dead by now including his family." I say.

"Let me see." Clifford says.

I gave him the phone. I do whatever we do on a daily basis when we don't have criminals to go after. Calum's innocent.

"He's definitely innocent. He's right, he was blackmailed." Clifford says.

"So, which one of y'all am I staying with until my court case?" Hood asks.

"We're still figuring that out." Clifford says.

"You're staying with me." I reply.

"Are you serious? You'll be stuck with him flirting with you all the time." Clifford says.

"He's staying with me." I repeat.

Yep. I said that. I think it's still stupid that he's staying with on of us, but he is. I don't trust him, but I trust that he won't be stupid enough to jump from that high. My apartment is literally on the 5th floor. Is he really going to be dumb enough to do that?
