Ivy could hear low beeps and soft voices before she opened her eyes.
"How could you let this happen?"
"It was an honest mistake." A male voice replied.
"This isn't a mistake Jay, it's a catastrophe. I'm dreading telling her the news." Joan said sitting down on the small couch.
"Tell me what?" Ivy's voice croaked.
"Baby you're okay." Jay said taking her hand, the dark circles told her that he had minimal amount of sleep and he was overtired.
"Tell me what Jay?"
"I'll go get the doctor." I've said getting up.
"Let's just wait for the doc okay Ivy."

"Ah Ivy you're finally awake. You gave us all quite a scare." The white haired man said walking towards her.
"What happened?" Ivy asked.
"You had a severe panic attack, I've never seen one so severe in this hospital before that's for sure my dear. Now I'm glad you are awake, we can book you in for an ultrasound now to see how your little one is doing."

"Ivy doesn't know doc." Jay said,
"We were waiting for you just in case she had another panic attack."
The doctor came and stood by Ivy's side checking her IV,
"Ivy you're pregnant," He said.
Her face paled and she looked at Jay.
"What?"
" I'll get the nurse to bring in the ultrasound kit and we can find out how far along you are and get you set up so you can see your little bundle of joy in no time, I'll just get your report signed off." He said walking out.
Joan broke the silence after too long.
"You owe me $100."
Ivy smiled in recognition,
"No way, I can't be." Ivy said, "It's not possible."
"Well apparently it is very possible, we made a baby Ive."
"Cough up the dough love. You're gunna be a Mumma." Joan laughed
"Am I missing something here?" Jay asked,
"Years ago, Joan and I made a bet about who would get pregnant first. I guess I just lost."

The nurse came in pulling along a cart with a screen attached.
"Morning Mrs. League, I'm here for your check up."
Ivy sat up a little more,
"Oh no dear, it's fine, you just lay down here and we can work around you. Although I will ask that your friend and partner stand up near you, I'm going to have to do a vaginal ultrasound since it may be too early to actually see anything via the stomach. Though it is actually possible, I much prefer it this way. Hopefully this little mite will show us how far along you are." The nurse rambled. Ivy put her legs up and the nurse started the ultrasound.
Sure enough the tiny heartbeat echoed around the room, bouncing off the walls filling Ivy's ears.
"That's my baby.. That's my baby's heartbeat." Ivy choked out holding back the tears.
Jay kissed the side of her head, "We made a baby, baby. I love you."
