Walking

The breeze is nice and cool. I borrowed Jane's wrap to tie it around my waist. The air is warm and smells of salt. Kids run by in the water playing. Jeff just walks with his hands in his pockets.

"It has been a very eventful day."

"Are you and Candy Pop together?"

"What? No he is just a friend. I would never hog tie my significant other." I laugh. Jeff smiles again.

"So if you aren't in a relationship w-"

"Jeff." We turn around and I see Offender, he winks at me I snort. "Slender needs you."

"Can't it wait?" He growls.

"Nope." Jeff frowns and turns to me we do our secret handshake and he leaves. "How cute, do you guys ride bikes together too."

"Not a bad idea! I'll try and remember that." I roll my eyes and I keep walking. He walks next to me and shows me his phone. It is a picture of Mako, the shark.

"Hey, Mako."

"Do you know your sharks?"

"No, she said her name was Mako."

"She said?"

"Why do you have a picture of her?"

"Well," he brings his phone back to him, "this kind of shark is called a long fined Mako. Some of the most dangerous sharks."

"Good gord that would be like me calling Jane Crazy! I'm so rude, no wonder she swam away so fast."

"Are you always like this?"

"Like what?" I look up at him.

"Happy, kinda teasing?"

"Don't forget about clumsy, fast, weird-"

"What are you?"

"Living." I smile. "What are you?"

"Annoyed." He side glances me. "Why aren't you afraid of me or sharks?"

"Why should I be, they are misunderstood creatures."

"Are you talking about the sharks?"

I stop and turn to him sighing.

"Good sir, I meant both parties. Now it is getting dark and there is supposed to be a full moon tonight. I gotta go before a werewolf decides the misunderstood creature missed its chance."

I skip away back to the Pasta's. I hear him walk behind me quietly. I stop and crouch down.

"What the hell!?"

"A sand dollar!" I hold it up with a big grin, he points to the ground and I see another one. I shout in awe and pick up a few of the dozen lying around.

"What are you doing?"

"One for Sally, one for Lazari, one for each brother, I have one for Jeff and Jane. The Candy's can have one too!" I smile and hold out a sand dollar to him.

He bends down and is right in my face. I look at his lips and then bite my own, he moves closer and I put a sand dollar to his lips.

"Just, uh, keep that one. Okay? K. Uh yeah."

I grab a few sand dollars and sprint down the beach I get to Jane and I hand out the sand dollars. I think she noticed the color in my face being gone.

After I handed out all of my sand dollars she walks up to me and hooks our arms.

"What's with the face?"

"Uh we'll talk about it later." I give her a smile. She nods and everyone starts to pack up before it gets dark. We all pile into the vans I sit next to Tender and put on my headphones.

I close my eyes and actually feel the waves as if I layed on top of them. The air smelled of cigarettes and roses and the sky was dark and there was no moon. I end up getting washed up on the shore with my mermaid tail. I try to dry it off before the Creepypasta's show up. I shake from the cold. They stop and stare at me. Being stared at like I'm a freak amongst freaks is scary.

A warm towel is wrapped around me and then Jane sits next to me with a sad smile.

"I still love you."

I smile and snuggle into her. I open my eyes to see her turning to sand. I whimper. I furrow my brow and the beach is lined with dead sharks. I cry out and look to the ocean to see the ocean has turned red. A figure walks on the water closer to me. I jolt awake. And see the van. We are still driving. I sigh and rub my eyes. I remove my headphones. The car is quiet besides the occasional whisper.

I sigh and look around. Tender seems to be using his towel as a pillow. I look to Offender his hat is tipped over his nonexistent face. Slender drives quietly and L.J. goes through his candy in the front.

"That was quite a dream Atarah."

"I prefer M. It's more normal."

"We will not judge you if you want to tell them who you are." Slender seems like he is looking at me through the mirror.

I sigh and lean on my hand.

"I was a mistake before, I don't tend to be a mistake here where I fit in."

"You aren't a mistake."

"That is debatable." I say with a small smile. I slide on my headphones and shut my eyes leaning back. The drive pulls me back to a dreamless sleep.
