Connecting the Dots (Shane Madej x OC)

When we land in London it's late in the evening. We had made sure to document our trip for the episode and get video on the drive to the hotel too. Despite our excitement to explore the city, we all decide it would be best to take some melatonin and get to sleep so that we can combat any jet lag and make the most of our time in England.

The next morning we're up bright and early to do as much tourist stuff as possible before going to Viaduct Tavern for the episode tonight. Our first stop is a local coffee shop where we all load up on caffeine and pastries. 

Shane's Insta Story

Once we've had breakfast we decide to visit the London Eye considering how close to the hotel it is. The group of us climb onto one of the capsules and gawk at the views of the city, from our vantage point Ryan can even point out roughly where the Viaduct Tavern is across the river. 

I'm standing on one side of the capsule pretty close to the glass, even though there is a thick barrier protecting me I feel a twinge of anxiety looking down at the city below us as we reach the top of the wheel. I feel a pair of hands push gently on my shoulders and all of a sudden my brain tells me I'm falling and I jump back before I can logically realize I'm just being pranked by my asshole friend. I collide with Shane after jumping and he breaks out laughing, 

"Jesus!" He laughs, his hands had moved to my arms to make sure I didn't fall over him and now that we're both stable he takes them away. I shove him playfully, 

"Asshole!" I say, and hear Ryan laugh beside me. 

"I didn't think you'd be afraid of heights Sophie!" Ryan says, I shoot him a look, 

"I'm not afraid of heights, I just don't like being pushed while I'm standing in a glass capsule 500 feet above the ground!" I say, looking pointedly at Shane. He raises his arms in surrender, 

"Hey woah! In my defense..." He pauses and can't seem to think of anything to say. 

"In his defense, sometimes Shane just can't help being an asshole right!" TJ jokes, patting Shane on the back. Shane laughs, 

"Excuse me, I- " He has nothing to say for himself. I shake my head, 

"You better watch it big guy," I say, "I'm gonna get you when you least expect it!" I say, giving him the universal 'I'm watching you' gesture. He laughs, 

"I'd like to see you try," He says and I scoff, 

"Ohh ok, it's on," I say and Shane laughs. Ryan looks between the two of us, 

"I'm actually a little scared," he says jokingly, and we laugh. 

After visiting the London Eye we walk around the city a little bit, stopping off at the typical tourist spots; Big Ben, The Tower of London, Hyde Park. We wanted to do a bunch of super touristy stuff on our first day just so we could say we did it, but we're planning on spending the rest of our time in London exploring a little less crowded and hopefully more obscure spots. But who knows, sometimes tourist spots are popular for a reason.
