Adelaide had waited at the bus stop 3 blocks away from her house to get on the bus and sit upfront for an hour.

For this school. It seemed even tinier than it had when she first saw it. She rolled her eyes as she walked through the door. She didn't think it would be so bad if she had the same class as Sonny did. She asked the Janitor which class grades 8th - 12th was. He pointed through a door into the next building over. She sighed as she continued on her way. Everyone else was walking in front of her. She didn't see Sonny anywhere.

Before she walked in through the door to her new class, she studied her outfit to make sure everything was fine. The past couple of days, she had been wearing the same outfit. Those shorts and an oversized hoodie. But she and Sonny had unpacked and picked out her first-day-to-a-her-newest-school outfit.

Sonny had told Adelaide that she assumed her wardrobe was dead, based on the outfit she had been wearing for 4 days straight. But she actually had a strong interest in fashion and loved wearing clothes. The outfit Sonny had helped pick out consisted of a long-sleeved black and white shirt under a short-sleeved black shirt with a tiny ":(" in the middle. these shirts were tucked into black short shorts over fishnet stockings and black doc martins. she decided to put on her iconic heart chocker as a last-minute detail. Her makeup was natural but flushed. She looked like she had a hangover.

Sonny thought this outfit fit Adelaide's personality very well. But Adelaide told Sonny that she changed her aesthetic almost every day. Tomorrow, she might be cute and frilly or go with the Harajuku street style.

Adelaide thought she looked fine and stepped into the class. She immediately saw Sonny.

"Addy! You're here!" She came over to Adelaide and pulled on her hand as she led the way to their teacher.

"Mrs. Claren, this is Addy. The new student. But there's supposed to be.. 2 others in this class, right?"

Mrs. Claren looked Adelaide up and down as she answered. "Yes. Your brothers, I presume?"

Adelaide nodded uncomfortably.

Mrs. Claren smiled. "I thought so. I love your outfit by the way. Sonny was telling me that you picked it out together."

She let out an unnoticeable sigh of relief as she smiled. "Yeah, we did."

Mrs. Claren showed Adelaide to her seat (It was next to Sonny). James also had a seat on the other side of her and sat down once he and Kevin had finally shown up.

As they were sitting during the first hour of class, all Adelaide could do was study everyone else. Almost everyone had a different style.

There were 2 punk rockers in the back with Adelaide James and Sonny. One had shaved half of her firetruck red hair and Adelaide loved the way she styled it. The other one had completely shaved her entire head. And she was rocking it.

Most of the younger boys (like Kevin. James was a total e-boy and looked very similar to how Adelaide was dressed today. Except, he always dressed like that every single day) were wearing the same thing: basketball shorts, knee-high neon socks, and a hoodie. All of the girls (with the exception of Sonny (she was wearing white shorts and a pink flower shirt and pink shoes) the punk rockers and 2 others just in front of Adelaide) were all wearing white t-shirts, skinny jeans, and Vans shoes.

The two in front of Adelaide were some of the cutest girls. They both had blue hair (although, they were different shades of the color) and looked like your classic bisexuals.

The older boys were much like the girls. T-shirts and jeans. Blech.

Except for one.

There was this one boy, maybe possibly a year older than her. Black hair, amazing complexion, strong jawline. He was wearing the same shirts as Adelaide was. He had black pants that were ripped at the knees and Chuck Taylors on his feet. The chain clipped to his jeans kept hitting the chair. After Adeliade had studied his beauty, she looked at was he was doing.
