For the next few days arabella and Kyle have hung out non-stop. Arabella met Kyle's dad and Kyle told him she would be spending Thanksgiving with them . Mr. Scheible loves Arabella and he can see that Kyle does too. Even though he might not admit it. Kyle never shows his feelings but his dad was the same way until he met Kyle's mom. He can just tell that Kyle feels something for Arabella.
Today was Thanksgiving day and they had school that day as well since it was a Tuesday. They also had mass that day because it was a holiday. Arabella did her regular routine and got in the car with Jenna to go pick up Kyle and Jonah. On the way there Jenna asked " So i saw Kyle has been dropping you off a lot recently and at late times" she said looking at me through her mirror. " You were watching us?" i say laughing. I can't believe she was watching us through her window. " Wha- no i was just observing your house and saw" she said making it TOTALLY not obvious. " well yeah i guess we have been hanging out a lot" i say shrugging not making a big deal out of it. " just face it. you like him" she says wiggling her eyebrows. " no i don't. and even if i do he would not like me back" i say slight blushing. yeah we did kiss like once or twice but only once or twice. i feel like if he liked me he would try and ya know. " i can tell he does. after hanging out with a girl he doesn't drop them off" she says. is that true? " yeah yeah whatever" i say quickly ending the conversation realizing we just pulled up at Jonahs house. They get in the car and sit in their normal seats and me and Kyle have a conversation about dinner tonight and then going to his band performance after.
We arrive at school a little late and we have to immediately run to Math aka geometry. The same boring thing happens , i have another conversation with Julie. We talk about their auditions and she is really excited about it. After class ended we headed to mass and sat in our regular seats The boys started coming in and i tried spotting a pair of green eyes. I found them and smiled while he gave me his famous smirk. i playfully rolled my eyes as he winked and then he sat down. we gave each other the usually flirty winks and glances and then we had to stand up to get the ash across our forehead. we stood next to each other in the line and he secretly played with my fingers while we waited. we got the ash on our forehead and we walked separate ways. he gave me another glance and a smile as we walked out of the room in different exists and school went on like normally.
We met up at Jenna's car and she drove me home so i can get ready. Kyle said he will pick me up at 6 so i had about three hours to get ready. I straightened my hair and put concealer , blush , highlight and mascara on and a little bit of lip gloss. Before i put my lip gloss on i brushed my teeth and then put the lip gloss on. I got changes in my outfit and grabbed my bag and put my shoes on.

I looked at the clock on the wall and it said it was 5: 30. i went into my sisters room just to make sure she was at her friends house and she was so i went down stairs and literally stared in the mirror practicing what i am going to say , fixing things i didn't like and trying to fix my resting bitch face. When it was 6 pm on the dot i heard a knock on my door and it was Kyle. i smiled at him and he asked if i was ready and i said yeah. we got in the car and he said " you look really beautiful bell." he said squeezing my hand. " thank you. you look good too" i said. i wanted to say he looked beautiful, amazing , handsome , cute , hot, everything and anything to describe a good looking person but i chickened out and just said he looked good. why must i be like this. We rode the rest of the way in a comfortable silence with him stealing a couple glances my way thinking I don't notice. but i do.
We got to his house and walked inside and I met his father. " Hi you must be Arabella" he asked shaking my hand. he looked and sounded nice so i wasn't that nervous anymore . " yes i am its so nice to meet you Mr. Scheible." i said. " oh please call me Kevin" he said laughing ( I don't know Kyle's dads real name so ill just call him Kevin) i said an okay and gave him my best smile and we sat down for dinner. We had a conversation about school , colleges , Kyle's band and what my parents did for a living. Dinner was finished and we were looking at an old photo album and Kyle's baby photos. Whenever Kyle's mother would be in some photos i would squeeze Kyle's hand a sort of comfort and to show him i'm there for him.
It was 8:30 and Kyle's band performed at 9 so we had to leave soon. "i had a great time Kevin thank you for having me here for thanksgiving" i said smiling at him. " it was my pleasure Arabella. you are welcomed over here anytime" he said. He gave me a hug and i hugged him back and Kyle gave him one too and we walked out to his car. I turned to Kyle and said " seriously Kyle thank you for inviting me. " i said holding his hand. He was starting to act a little weird but i brushed it off as nothing he was probably just nervous for performing. He said that it was no problem and we headed off to the cafe for his band. We arrived and he left to go set everything up and I met up with Jenna and Jonah and Candice and Shelly. half way through the gig i saw Kyle staring at somebody in the audience. I looked over to he was staring at and it was Lady bird. I didn't know she was here. I saw that Julie was with her so I went to go say hi to Julie. I walked up to her and said " hey Julie !!" She looked at me and smiled and said " Omg hi Arabella i didn't see you walk in" I could tell that Lady bird was staring at Kyle back so i was going to make it known that i came with him. " Oh well that's because i got her early. I had dinner with KYLE and we came here together" i said saying the name Kyle loud enough to break Lady bird's trance with Kyle. Julie smiled and said " oh that's nice. are you two a thing" i didn't know how to answer that so i just said " no were just really really close friends" i say smiling. Lady bird chimed in and said " oh so Kyle's single" I gave her a shrug and said goodbye to Julie and headed over to Jenna.
Kyle's gig was over and He drove me home. He didn't hold my hand. he didn't kiss me goodbye all he said was see ya after i said bye. what the hell happened, did i do something, did i say something , i thought tonight was perfect. Ugh ill just sleep on this and maybe he'll be better tomorrow probably. it was about 11 when i got home and my mom was home surprisingly and so was my sister, they were both asleep so i quietly took of my makeup and my clothes and got dressed in pajamas and went to bed quickly.
