Chapter 34

Party time

Clary POV

Jace and I walked down the stairs slowly.When we got to the bottom of the stairs, Isabelle waved us over.

"So not everyone is here yet.Do you guys want to go ahead and sit down at the table?"

"Yeah.That's fine."Jace answered.

We walked over to the table and took our seats.Jace was at the head,I was at his right,Isabelle next to me,Alec would be on his left with Magnus next to him.Simon next to Isabelle and so on.Everyone that was already here started taking their seats.Jace and I started talking quietly.

"How are you feeling,Clary?"

"I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

Just then the doorbell rang.

"I got it!"Isabelle yelled.

She ran out and a few minutes later came back in with Simon,Mom,Luke,Alec,Magnus,and some others who I was guessing were friends of Jace because he got up walked over to them,talked for a minute and then came back and sat down.

"You don't have to sit here.You can go socialize."I said.

"Yeah,well I want to sit here with you."

"Okay...."

"Did you want me to leav.....Clary?!"

"Isabelle can you come with me!?"

I walked out of the room fast enough to where no one would suspect anything but when I got to the hallway,I took off running with Isabelle right behind me.I made it to the bathroom right in time.Iz held my hair back as I threw up.

"You okay now?"She asked when I finished.

"Yeah."I said and we walked back into the dining room.Everyone was here now so I went and took my seat by Jace.

"You okay?"He asked.

"Yeah."

"Okay."

Isabelle stood up and got everyone's attention.

"Jace..."she said.

"Everyone.We have asked you to come for a very important reason."He looked over to me and I simply said,"I'm pregnant."

I swear you could hear a pen drop.That only lasted a few seconds though.
