Kazuki The Legendary Ninja

Two long years later.....

Enju POV

Still no result.

It's been two years since he went missing, and still we couldn't find him.

"Where in the world are you, Kazuki?" I whisper silently.

A few minutes later, I stand outside our usual cafe. Today, even his father is here.

Relax, I think to myself. It's not really your fault. You were only scolding him for being a perv. He totally deserved what he got.

With that, I open the door.

None of the others were there. Oh, well, considering I was about 15 minutes early, I sat down and ordered a parfait.

As soon as I ordered and was on my way back to my seat, I heard a familiar voice order after me.

"One cup of steaming hot cappuccino with cream and cinnamon, please."

I turned, and my guess was spot on.

Kazuki had returned.

"Kazuki? Is that really you?" I asked him.

He turned towards me. He opened his mouth, and what he said next was like a blow to me.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but do I know you?"

"Hey, Kazuki stop being mean to me. This is not the time to joke! It's me, Enju!"

"Uhh, I seriously don't know you ma'am. Are you sure you're talking about Kazuki Araya?"

"Yes! Kazuki Araya, the legendary ninja! That's you, right?"

"How'd you know my ninja identity?" He asks, genuinely looking puzzled. "Are you another ninja, too?"

"Yes, yes! I am Enju Saion-Ji, remember?"

"But I don't know you! I came here now for the first time, to enroll in Mizaki College! And I definitely didn't see you in Daikoku Village!"

Just then, Akari comes in. She stops when she looks at me talking to Kazuki, then slowly grins.

"Yay, you found Kazuki at last!"

Before the discussion could escalate, I pull Kazuki out of the cafe and find pretty much everyone else Kazuki has ever known a lot about in this town and his father. Kazuki stop the moment he saw his father and growled. "What the hell are you doing here, you perverted freak! I told you I accepted the mission to look into Mr. Kuzuryu's disappearance! What else do you want?"

"That issue was resolved 2 years ago, wasn't it?" His father yelled. "And what do you mean, accepting the mission now?"

Now It was Kazuki's turn to get confused. "I obviously meant that you made me take the mission to inquire about Mr. Kuzuryu's disappearance and to bring him back to be able to enroll in Mizaki college."

I honestly didn't understand what was happening here.

"Anyway, where were you these last two years? These girls were really downhearted when you went missing, you stupid boy."

Kazuki looked like a totally different person now. He looked like he was deeply pondering something.

"Things definitely don't add up..," He muttered under his breath.

"Well?" Mr. Araya demanded again.

"I was in Daikoku Village, or at least that's what I remember! And I don't know any of these girls, from what I remember!"
