A/N Just a quick reminder that unless I say so, this story will be in Bells P.o.V. It will most likely be in the first person but sometimes I will slip into 3rd person k.

I sadly don't own 'Danmachi' or is it wrong to pick up girls in the dungeon. If I did, there would be more Ais x bell moments. in the name of the best wingman ever (Hermes), they've done nearly EVERYTHING except kiss. I don't mind a lot of ships in danmachi, the only ones that I won't write are Lili and bell, or Hestia and bell. I don't have anything against them but it's just Hestia is a bit to... clingy and I don't think that Lili and bell would go well together. Now bear in mind that this is ONLY my opinion. I don't have anything against the ships, simply preference. one last thing. This is a Bell x Ais ship. Now I will add competition but that'll be primarily a Bell x Ais.

On with the show.

I am well aware of how foolish it was to try and outrun a level 5. I am well aware of how foolish it was to try and outrun a level 5 with multiple badly bruised ribs. But in the name of Hades, I was desperate.

I wouldn't stand much of a chance if this was purely a test of speed. Now I was fast. Very fast. Heck, I was faster than most that were like my fellow familia-less peers. But this was a level 5 for crying out loud and when it came down to it, she would be faster than me. I had to be smart about this. It wasn't any use trying to outpace her, especially with her wind magic. I bounded up a wall and quickly jumped off to another wall. I then sprinted up the aforementioned wall to the rooftop of a decently high building, with one of the most deadly adventurers behind me. I turned around and smirked cheekily at her. It wouldn't be good for her to realize that I was injured. Not that it would matter, if I were to cross blades with her, everyone and their grandmother knew who would win.

"End of the line," she said in her iconic and lovable monotone voice.

"Not quite" I shouted as I jumped over the ledge and was free falling. I fell onto a balcony close to the ground and jumped its railing, landed in the ground, looked up, and smiled cheekily at her flabbergasted face. This was a rarity and to be honest, it wasn't all that noticeable but I admit, I was staring pretty intensely. Not because she was pretty it that. Not that she isn't pretty but I was staring for the reaction. After all, it's not often that people go to such extremities to get away from the Sword Princess herself. Most of the time people run towards her and not away from her. I knew she would be following me and thus, ducked into one of the fake walls of Daedalus Street. It was here I determined I could sink to the ground, and catch my very labored breaths. Turns out one shouldn't run after getting their ribs battered.

I quickly made it back up to Babel and knew I'd have to lay low for a while, the Hephaistos familia would not let me go that easily, what with rune-embedded blades being a rarity because of A) the cost of the blade B) the cost of the materials to make a blade strong enough that it wouldn't instantly shatter, C) the sheer amount of effort that would've been put into making the blade is unfathomable, what with you needing to be a master blacksmith and there wasn't exactly a lot of them about these days, D) Me being unknown, which was suspicious as all known enchanted weapons were held by known people.

Ais P.O.V

Why did he run? All we wanted was to ask him about his peculiar weapons. To go to such extremities is rather suspicious. I would've chased after him but I knew at the end of the day, he most likely knew enough back alleys and hidden walls it would most likely be too late. Now unfortunately I have to report back to Loki and say that I lost him. What fun, especially considering how Bete most certainly won't let this go. I slowly trudged back to tell my goddess that I had lost the person with features that were uncannily like a bunny when some idiot ran past me with red hair. now don't get me wrong, I usually don't care too much, but the prospect of listening to Bete's jeers was riling me up. I stormed back to the camp and informed Loki of what happened and she was speechless. Then guess who barged in. The same redhead that rammed into me spoke to Goddess Hephaistos. The young boy lived on one of the top floors of Babel
