CHAPTER SEVEN- WANTED BY THE UNKNOWN(1)

- Maggie's house -

Maggie runs to the door at the sound of the door bell ringing. She opens the door but doesn't see anyone there, looking down she sees a small jewelry like box, after much thought she picks it up and goes back into the house
" Who was that Maggie? " Her mom asks
" No one, it was just a package" Maggie shows her mom the box
" Not another admirer I hope" Her mom moves closer to her
" Ha ha, very funny" Maggie opens the box and as soon as she sees what's inside she throws it on to floor and hugs her mom. As the box lands on the floor still open an eye ball rolls out of it

Max- It's been almost a week since we lost Anne and there hasn't been a trace of her anywhere, she just vanished. Right now what you see up there is now our first lead, the eye ball was tested and it was Anne's which confirms our assumptions that she didn't just travel, she's either been held captive and is been tortured or worse.... She's dead

Diana comes out of a car, she closes the door and waves the driver bye and goes into the house while the driver stays back. As she goes in she sees Max standing in front of the door
" Who was that, the one that dropped you off?" Max asks
" Relax, it was your friend. Vic is think " Diana said
" He's not my friend and you can't see him anymore" Max said
" Are you really playing the protective brother card now" Diana pulls off her jacket " Don't bother, he just dropped me off from the mall"
" What about school? " Max asks
" I'm skipping for the day and don't tell me I have to go" Diana replies
" I'm not going either. Just don't get close to Vic, he's bad news " Max warns her
" How exactly?" She asks but he doesn't reply " If you won't tell me then I don't have a reason to back off "
" Just forget it" Max says " I'm heading out"
" Where?" Diana asks
"Maggie's, we have a situation" He replies
" Okay, whatever" Diana said as he opened the door and walked out. He sees Vic standing beside his car and seeing his face brings back memories. Max has a flash back where he sees Vic standing over two dead bodies as he holds in his hand a knife dripping with blood and them he's drawn back to the present as the flash back ends and he walks over to Vic
" Where you headed?, I can drive you... If you want " Vic said as Max got closer
" Don't bother, I'm not going far" Max walks past him
" I thought that was all behind us.... I didn't do it, I told you" Vic said
" It was never behind us. I saw you that night just before you ran away and I know you saw me" Max says " Don't think of getting closer to my sister, there's no way I'm losing her too" Max moves away from him and Vic gets into his car and drives away

- Maggie's house -
Max knocks on Maggie's front door and it is answered by Austin. Max walks in and they both head to the living room where Maggie is sitting with Trevor and Nelly beside her
" A full house I see" Max moves closer to them
" It was even fuller" Nelly said " You just missed the cops "
" What did they say?" Max asks and Maggie replies
" What they always say, to keep it silent while they work on it" She says
" The cops, detectives, doctors, they are all stuck in spinning of web of lies and I sure would like to know who spun the web" Trevor says
" K.C and I are on that, hopefully we'll fins something" Nelly said and just as she's done Maggie starts coughing
" My med.... Upstairs" Maggie keeps coughing
" I'll get it " Austin leaves them and runs upstairs, shortly after he's gone Maggie's coughing seizes
" Are you OK?" Trevor asks
" Yeah, it's nothing. I think I have allergies of some sort but it's all good" Maggie replies
" Guys!" Austin yells from upstairs " You have to see this"
They all go up the stairs and into Maggie's room
" What the hell" Around the room on the walls Maggie Gomez is written in blood over the white paint of the room and each blood written name has a knife on it.
" This is definitely a death threat Maggie, we needs the cops here" Austin says to her
" Don't bother " Maggie goes to her bed and bends over bringing out a paint bucket and three brushes
" What's going on here? " Max asks
" I'll like to know too" Trevor adds
" This isn't the first death threat I've gotten and neither was Anne's eye ball the first" Maggie drops the paint bucket on a table with the brushes
" How long now?" Max asks
" Over a week a now " She replies
" A week! And you didn't bother telling anyone of us" Trevor said
" I did tell the cops and like I said, they said I should keep it silent that they'll handle it" Maggie says
" Clearly they didn't" Trevor says angrily
" So is this human blood?" Nelly asks in disgust
" I think it's sheep blood, like the last one" Maggie puts on a glove and starts removing the knifes out of the wall
" Okay Maggie, you need to tell us everything now" Max says
She drops the knifes on the stool and starts " First it was a stupid note in my locker after Joe died and Wendy has jus collapsed"
" What was written on it?" Austin asks
" That it was all my fault " Maggie replies " Next was a teddy bear on my bed but the bears head was ripped out of its body. There was the dead rat in my make up drawer and formally my name written in blood"
" The same way and pattern as it was written now?" Nelly asks
" Yeah but it wasn't Maggie Gomez. Last time it was my mother's maiden name Jackson.... So it was Maggie Jackson " Maggie looks at Max and Nelly's face after the statement and could tell something was up
" Your positive it was Jackson" Max says
" I think I'll know my mom's name" Maggie said " What's wrong, what's the faces for"
" OK, do you guys know about the best about 12 years ago, the Mendes family?" Max asks
" Yeah, I do" Trevor replies and the rest follow too
" Last week we asked Austin and KC to send some files to us,it was files of their killer, his name and his prison" Nelly said
" And?" Austin asks
" And the guys name is Steve, Steve Jackson " Max said
" You don't think I'm related to a killer now, do you" Maggie says
" You always did say your Mom never talked about her family, she was never proud of them. I'm not saying your related to the killer but I believe I could get a thing or two from him" Max says " I'm skipping school today, would be heading to Brooklyn today to meet him"
" Well after all this, school is the last place I want to be" Maggie says " I'll have to wait for my mom to get back, she went with the cops"
" I'm coming too" Trevor said " There's no way I'm letting you out of my sight, not after this"
" Well, it's a road trip then" Max says
" You guys have fun. The lot of us have school to attend after which I need to meet Simon" Nelly says " He still hasn't been in school"
" Oh, that's fine. Bye then" Max said just before Nelly and Austin leave
" Well guys, we still have a whole room to paint, so pick a brush" Maggie hands over two brushes to them.
