Mayer Murphy

"Finally! We're here!"  Lindsay growled to all of us while picking up her things from the back compartment.

"I need a pitcher of mango, plus additional cheese, Oh make it double cheese AHH! I'M CRAVING!" Chastity entered with her irritating high-pitched voice.

"Yes! Finally let's go peeps, I'll order some sweet good old Root beer for my rumbling belly." Wright blustered out to galvanize the mood inside the van.

All of us screamed at the top of our lungs due to sudden excitement, all the dark clouds inside the van suddenly disappeared and metamorphosed euphorically, Even Jacob's dull presence slightly shifted to being joyful just by basing in his eyes and aura. All of them bolted hurriedly leaving me and Jacob inside. I slowly move out the van while he is following me from behind. I noticed him looking at me while carefully guiding me through holding my back,  preventing me to avoid bumping to the ceiling inside the van. He really cares for me, I can feel it through his actions towards me. He smirked and looked at my eyes as he picked our bags.

"Stop faking your smile Jacob. You can't cheat it, It's obvious in your eyes though.
It's okay to be sad sometimes. I'm here for you." I told him with a consoling tone while tapping his back.

"M... M... Mayer can you stay..." He  stuttered awkwardly while looking at me.

"Hmm?" I hummed confusingly as I slowly scratched my head.

"Hm... Nevermind Let's go?" He immediately replied as soon I hummed at him.

He grabbed my hand with authority dragging my fatless body inside the Diner. As he unbind his hand in me he looked at my eyes directly then laggardly move his head towards my ears and slowly whispered, "With me?" Then Jacob smirks and walks upstairs leaving me in a shock and a disoriented mind.

I was baffled by these two words in a phrase, and it's not even a phrase with me? Seriously? What's supposed to be the meaning of 'with me'?. I'm completely bewildered, leaving me halt for a few seconds where I am standing.

"Yow! What's with the halt?" Rygel snapped in front me with a surprising tone before sipping his cold iced pineapple juice.

"Oh! It's nothing, I'm just hungry." I cackled while scratching my head out of confusion.

All of us ordered the same set of food here at same old Frankie's Diner and still in the same table which we all preferred to, at the second floor, the last row corner beside where the air-condition is placed. And where we can freely see the busy road down below and the rapid transit a few meters away from the diner.

A bowl of Chipotle, and a glass of soda is best partnered with all six of my friend's stories. Lindsay's dramatic narrative about her family is our topic of discussion tonight and a little bit of each other's telenovela life, academic struggles and Professor John's incompetence in teaching.

Everything seemed to be the same friday night we've always had, except the alcohol are replaced by soda and ice cream like we used to order during our freshman year. I guess time flies so fast as well as our preferences to have fun.

We all ended up slouching  in the van due to the fullness we've had, but Jacob is still inside in the Diner for a couple of minutes now. I decided to come back and look for him, I also think this is the perfect time to console him and to give back to the kindness he always show me.
