Jay's P.O.V
"Bai kinsa mn tong babae sgeg ka bangga nmo?" Ivon asked
We were all in a cafe to "study". Our notebooks were out but no one even read their notes. We ended up just playing and talking.
"Aw, wa ra toh oi " I tried to laugh it off but they seem interested in her.
"Unsay wa, sge ra gani kag tan.aw niya" Ivon and the boys laughed.
"Buang ka" i procceded to play fight with Ivon and the boys started joining in.
It was already 7 pm and most of the boys went home so I started to go home as well.
While walking I took out the bracelet that spelt out Nicolle and smiled. Nicolle? The name fits her perfectly. I started smiling crazily when I realized something.
Do I like her?
I mean her smile makes me smile. Her eyes sparkle when we look at each other and when we bumped into each other she gets all flustered it so cute
Luh.
Am I actually falling for her? The thought of liking someone scares me. Am I ready to have feelings for a girl? Clouds of thoughts started rushing through my mind as I arrived home.
"Jay? Okay raka?" My mom hugged me, interrupting my thoughts.
"Oh Hi ma" I quickly hid the bracelet in my pocket.
My mom never fails to baby me whenever she gets the chance to. My dad is usually busy so she tries her best to make my siblings and I feel loved.
"Just tired" i scratched my head while giving a weak smile.
"Well Im going to buy some take out see you in dinner." She kissed me in the cheeks and left
I slowly went to my room, pondering on the question
Do I like her?
She seems interesting but is she ready for that type of relationship? Am I ready for that?! While thinking of these questions I can feel my eyes getting heavy so I slept.
*The next day
The smell of fresh eggs cooking caught my attention. I slowly open my eyes, the sunlight hitting my face.
"Jay! Ali na eat breakfast late nasd ka for school"
Oh fuck. Late nasd ko. I rushed to the bathroom to take a shower. I then rushed to eat breakfast then basically jumped in the car.
"Hay nako, sge ramog ka late" Mom rolled her eyes at us.
The car ride was silent since my brother and I were sleepy. As we arrived in school I checked the time and it was 8 am. Meh. Whats the point? Ill just walk. Late na btaw ko.
While walking through the corridors I saw Nicolle. She was wearing a hoodie. Ka init sa pinas ngano ga hoodie ka? I thought as I feel my pockets for her bracelet and held it tight. Ka interesting jd nimo Nicolle.
* Nicolle's P.O.V
"So class today we will collab with the seniors for a big project" Mr. Link explained.
The class didnt really like the idea of partnering with the seniors. Its not like the seniors did something bad to us its just so tiring talking to them and trying our best not to mess things up
"We will meet them today in the AVR so please be on your best behavior" Mr. Link instructed us to go line up.
While going out of the classroom, Thea went near me.
"Nics do you think ma partner tas section nila Jay ug Nick?" Thea said while crossing her arm on mine.
"Heheh basin" I respond weakily.
"Naunsa ka Nic?" Kristina asked
Honestly I feel sick but mom insisted I wasnt sick so here I am.
"I dont feel good"
They insisted I go to the clinic but To be honest I'm lazy to go there.
"Okay ra oi I can do this" i said feeling determined.
We went to the AVR and saw the seniors. The group started getting excited while i was trying not to die.
We sat down then the teachers started explaining the project.
"Oh ang you guys will be grouped by four"
This peaked my friends' interest. While everyone was agreeing on their groupmates, I just wanted to sleep my head was killing me.
"We will be picking the groups" Mr Link added which made everyone annoyed.
As Mr. Link passed around papers to determine oir group I fell asleep on Thea's shoulders.
"Hoi Nic" Thea tapped me in the shoulder.
"Huh?"
"We're groupmates" she said excitedly
"Oh" I said weakily wanting to sleep more.
"Okay go to the library and start planning your project"
"Nic you sure you're okay?" Thea pat my back.
"Yeah I just need to sit down"
We all proceeded in the library. Thea and I sat at the table assigned to us.
I rest my head om the table while waiting for our senior partner.
*Jay's P.O.V
Honestly I dont want to do the project. Im hoping that I can just free load.
Nick and I went to our assigned table and noticed a familiar face.
Nicolle?
"Ka group ta nila" Nick said while going up to them.
"Partners ta?" Thea asked Nick
Nick nodded and we sat down. I sat down infront of Nicolle who was sleeping.
"Naunsa siya?" Nick gave her a weird look.
"She feels sick" Thea looked at her concerned.
"Why wont she just go to the clinic" I asked
"She insisted that she doesnt want to go"
I looked at her, she looks so weak.
I stood up and asked our teacher if she could go to the clinic. Mr. Link said yes so I went back and woke her up.
"Hm?" Nicolle looked so weak. Her face was pale. She wasnt herself today.
"Go to the clinic" I told her.
"No no its okay Thea" she weakily responded then went back to sleep.
I sighed. Damn, is she trying to kill herself? I lift her up.
"I'll be back guys just plan the project and lets meet later at the cafe" I looked at the both of them who was shocked by my actions.
Nicolle seemed unbothered by my action and wrapped her hands around my neck. My eyes widened by her sudden move. I slowly walked to the clinic. People gave their weird looks at us but I wasnt bothered.
We went in the clinic and the nurse told me to put her in a bed. As I lay her down, I looked at her. She looks cute even though she's sick.
"Jay thank you for delivering her here you can go now" the nurse said while checking her temp.
"Oh okay tita" I went back up to the library and helped brainstorming an idea for the project.
*Bell Rings
"Thea you should check up on her" I suggested before leaving the library.
"Dont forget lets meet in the cafe after dismissal" Nick added.
"Okay kuya" Thea left.
"You like Nicolle noh?" Nick teased me
"Hilom oi" I punched Nick and we started play fighting.
