My Freak (Bakugou x Reader)

Chapter 10. Today's Defeat

"Is everything Okay (y/n)?" Izuku whispered into her ear softly and secretively, acknowledging how his best friend didn't like expressing her feelings - especially in public like this.

"I think so...Lets talk about it later..."

Clouds lingered by as they engaged within their everyday routine of floating about alongside the sun's rays as they attempt to shine through. The warmth within the wind felt soothing as me and Izuku wondered around the beta arenas where usually no one would hang around during lunch.

Honestly, I haven't spoken to that cinnamon roll properly in weeks - even months. Mainly the pair of us would be with the group or working on overdue homework...

Well to BE EXACT - Izuku helping me with my overdue homework! But today was different.

When I arrived back to the lunch hall, I found Todoroki sitting with our friends and he seemed to be fine so I didn't bother him at all!

The argument breaking out between Todoroki and Bakugou which lead me to meet Awase, he was the sweetest honestly! Then to be met with the flame head once again and finding myself in his arms again... The buzzing, rumouring crowds from earlier in the hallways, the tension brewing between me and Seowoo only to end up with Bakugou hanging out with her at the end. It felt like a roller coaster but I felt so uneasy.

When I arrived back into the cafeteria, I knew I couldn't face Bakugou. I just couldn't and I didn't know why...I fucking hated his guts before so why couldn't I ignore this feeling and him all together?!

I could have sat down, cracked jokes and laughed with my friends and put it all behind me but the boy whose been with me my whole life could see through it all...

Izuku.

He could see the real me behind the mask I frame on my face. The pain behind the smile I plaster so everyone would think i'm at my fullest even when I'm breaking down...

We finally make it to the BETA and sat down against the brick, sturdy walls standing tall behind us. Izuku lays his head upon the wall as his green straws scrunch up, seeping the air through his teeth but to only shiver erratically and once again, grabbing onto my uniform and shaking me like there's no tomorrow.

"Y/N YOU MANIPULATED THE AIR'S TEMPERATURE! YOU'RE GOING TO KILL ME ONE DAY! WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS, YOU K-KILLER! FOR THE SAKE OF ALL MIGHT STOP IT!" Izuku Trembled as I just laughed hysterically at him but he kept shaking the hell out of me until I apologised.

"Alright a-alriGH-t! Izu I'm sorr-EEEE!" I screeched and Izuku stopped shaking me, staring at me like I had a zit on my face but we both erupted into puddles of giggles.

"This really takes me back to when we were in middle school! Those days were so much...Easier I guess," I nostalgically sigh.

"That reminds me...(N/n) what's wrong? You've been off throughout lunch and I think we have A LOT to talk about." Izuku bit the bottom of his lip as he shrugged his shoulders. I didn't bother to answer because I knew what he was going to ask and I was afraid about what I was going to say. How do I explain that me and Bakugou are somewhat friends now? How me and Bakugou fought like an angry couple...

HOW THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO EXPLAIN TO IZUKU THAT ME AND BAKUGOU HAVE KISSED AND DONE THINGS WHAT COUPLES DO?!

I could feel the anxiety rising to the surface of my face, my (e/c) orbs begun to shake and widen as I fiddled with my fingers, just waiting for his attack.

"(Y/n)." Izuku sternly says.

"Y-Yes?"

"What's going on between you and Bakugou? I mean It-"
