I sat down under a tree on floor 11. I had reached level 45 and I was exhausted. I was still messaging most of the beta testers and warning them on the changes in the game. Most of them took the warning but some just accused me of lying as I was a hacker.

~Time skip~

I heard rumors on some revival item which was dropped by Nicholas. I figured it would be nice to keep it, just in case someone I know dies I could revive them quickly. It was in the Forest of Wandering on the 35th floor which I was at right now. I started running when I bumped into someone I knew from floor 1.

"Klein?" I questioned and he turned around and gave a huge smile.

"Virus! How has it been?!" He asked walking towards me.

"Fine. You know the normal 'You're a cheater' comments." I said and saw people behind him. I soon heard running and I turned and saw Kirito who was running. He soon stopped when he noticed me and Klein.

"Yo." Klein greeted.

"You followed me?" Kirito questioned.

"Not really but ran into them." I admitted.

"Pretty much." Klein stated, "Are you both after the resurrection item?"

"Yes." Me and Kirito said in unison.

"Don't risk your life for something that might be a sham. This survival game isn't a joke. The moment our HP turns to zero our brains in the real world-" Klein said.

"Zip it." Kirito said and I closed my eyes and looked away.

"Trying to solo it is crazy! Fight with us." Klein said, "Whoever gets the resurrection item can keep it, no hard feelings. That's fair, right?"

"If I did that... there'd be no point. I have to do it alone." Kirito said and I felt a group behind Klein and jumped away from them pulling out my katars and Kirito pulled out his sword.

"Listen... I can't let you both die here. Kirito, Virus!" Klein yelled.

"It appears you were followed too, Klein." Kirito stated.

"Looks like it. The Divine Dragon Alliance?" Klein said.

"Kirito how about you get the item? I'm sure Klein wouldn't mind if you went alone considering this situation." I said giving Kirito a small smile.

"Goddamit! Go Kirito!" Klein yelled, "Go! We'll hold these guys back!"

I gave a smirk and charged at them. I charged at what seems like the leader. He swung his sword down and I pushed myself sideways and kicked him in the side while moving to the one next to him, kicking him in the face, and soon moving to the next. I made sure not to attack any with my katars. Without knowing one had gotten behind me.

"Virus!" I heard Klein yell and I quickly jumped up and landed behind the guy and I kicked his leg making him fall. Soon they all were running away. I gave a sigh of relief and kept my katars.

"Your hood is off." Klein stated and pulled my hood back onto my head.

"Thanks." I said and sat down to catch my breath. Soon Kirito came out holding the item in his hand.

"Kirito!" Klein greeted but the look on Kirito's face made him keep quiet. He looked... Dead. As if his life no longer had a meaning. Soon Kirito threw the item towards Klein.

"That's the ressurection item." Kirito said and I looked over Klein's shoulder to read, "Within ten seconds?"

"Do whatever you want with it." Kirito said and walked away. I stood up and brushed the snow off me before leaving as well.

"Kirito... Virus... You... You both have to survive!" Klein yelled and I looked over to see that Klein had grabbed Kirito's jacket and that he was now crying, "Survive until the end. Please..."

I remained silent and kept walking. I knew the face that Kirito had on. He had lost someone he found important in the game. I decided to continue farming through Christmas. It was already very dark and now it was snowing very heavily. I climbed up the tree and sat on the branch which was thick enough and soon fell asleep thinking about what was happening outside. Surely everything was fine. It has to be...
