Tink
Everything is packed and ready. I just hope that the pixie dust I brought is enough for the ride to England.
We decided that I would only fly the ship to the closest ocean and then we would sale until we reach Sandown Bay in Shanklin. It will be less exhausting for me and hopefully, I would get some pixie dust left to keep for myself in case I get hurt, or things like that.
"You ready, love?" He asks me as I press the knife into the tree, to pin the letter I have wrote for Peter. I am just telling him that I left and that he shouldn't search for me because I don't want to be found.
"Sure. Let's go!" I tell him and take his hand and walk back to our boat. He takes us to the ship and I swear that my heart is going to explode from all the emotions running through me. I'm really going to do this. I'm going to leave Neverland.
"Just say when, love." He says from behind the wheel.
I take out my pixie dust bag and sprinkle it on deck. Its magic soon spreads all around the ship and in to time, we lift above the water.
The sun has yet to rise when we reach the barrier of Neverland. I take another look at our island and take Hooks hand as we cross to the other realm.
We are welcomed by the chilly wind and millions of stars as we slowly glide towards the sea. When we finally touch water, I feel like there's a rock that is leaving my chest and I finally manage to release a deep breath. My anxiety is still there, but I've made it so far, there's no need to chicken back.
We continue our journey as people start to wake up and raise the veils so that we gain speed and we reach our destination just at sunrise.
One by one, the ship crew leaves the ship, thanking me for getting them home. Maybe some of them have already figured who I am by now, but they are too happy to say anything. They just run to the docks to take ships back home. And after a while, it's just me and James.
"Let's go home, love." He says and I frown a little at his words. Neverland was my home.
He takes one backpack and two suitcases and locks the cabin door. Then he takes my hand and we slowly move across the shore and towards the main road.
After a few minutes of walking, we reach our destination.
"Welcome to Luccombe, love!" He says as we stop in front of an old looking house. It covered in wood logs at top and seems to have walls of rock at the bottom. Such a strange looking house for me.
But everything around it is green. There are lots of trees and that makes me happy. I like it! He takes out the key and unlocks the door and we enter into the dusty house."We will only stay here until I manage to get papers for us and sell it. We deserve a fresh start!"
"I kinda like it!" I tell him smilling but he doesn't follow my lead. He looks sad.
"This house is part of my past. You are my future. I don't want the two to mix together." He says and then finally gives me a kiss.
"Alright." I say and give him another nervous smile. I wonder what his past hides. Why is he trying to forget about it so badly?
We go and pick a bedroom to sleep in and then James goes to town to buy groceries while I unpack the small suitcases.
I carefully fold the clothes and hang them in the dresser and then take on old rug and start dusting the room so we can sleep tonight. I open the windows to let the air inside and see James returning with the groceries. By now, I am already starving and I can't wait to eat some late lunch.
I run down the stairs and find him in the kitchen, unpacking everything he bought. I take an apple and bite straight into it.
"Love, you should really wash that before eating it. Just let me turn on the main water supply and we should have water.
He goes outside for a few minutes and the comes back and turns on the faucet, dirty water coming out of it.
"Just wait until the water clears and then you can wash the fruits." He tells me and kisses my cheek.
I am a little more quiet than usual, because all of this is too much for me. It is a good thing that I learnt how to read all those years ago, and that James has a huge library on the Jolly Rogers. All of these things, I've read about them in books. Seeing them is a whole different story.
I help him was all the vegetables and fruits and then just watch him as he starts cooking our lunch, trying to remember each of the steps. He sees me so focused and he finally gives me a warm happy smile.
"Can pixies get wrinkles? Because your forehead get these cute wrinkles above your nose every time you focus on something."
"Oh, shut up." I laugh and throw an apple at him, which he catches and takes a big bite of.
"I love you!"
